Just had a pretty big earthquake here in Montana. Initial measurements are 5.8 and located 50 miles NW of Helena. Started slow and rolling and then got going. Only have felt one aftershock so far.
One of my very favorite Scrooge comics of all. Here’s a website you might enjoy.

Thanx for the link.
How far is the epicenter from Yellowstone?
And this is Montana we’re talkin’ bout. They don’t have no stinking kilometers in Montana. ~31.1 Miles
Let me be the first in with

Slept through it here in Bozeman.
I was in the Quake Lake quake in ‘59...well, 20 miles north.
Based on the EQ map there’s been about 7 aftershocks.
Weird location IMHO.
Graboids! That was my first thought too!
I lived in St Louis for years and 3-5 quakes were quite common. That was in the 80s. I recall awakening one night to the bed shaking and thinking, oh just another stupid quake, and going back to sleep.
Graboids? Aren’t they in Nevada?
I once slept through a 5.5 in Manila in a hotel located on unstable ground next to the harbor. One of the guys in our party the next morning said he’s been thrown from his bed and could not believe I hadn’t noticed it. The Bologna, Italy quake a few years ago woke me with gentle shaking as I was a hundred or so miles away in Verona. Every earthquake I’ve ever experienced has felt different, some quick and violent and others like the motion of a ship at sea. All of them, if you’re awake, can scare the living $*** out of you.
My half brother used to live in Missoula and worked for the Washington Corporation as a mechanic for their fleet of jets....
I’m in the Bitterroot, fairly remote between Bear Creek and Fred Burr Creek. Neighbor called around 9:30 in the evening saying he heard a gunshot. Something big started wailing out a horrifying death wail for several minutes afterward. Then it got quiet ... real quiet. I’m sure I’ll find out later today what that was all about. I’m thinking a bear.
And I slept right through the earthquake.
I was thinking Global Warming or the Russians?
Same here. It was enough to wake me up and light up the neighborhood dogs.
My bad. The ‘quakes are just east of Nevada Valley.
You can’t make this stuff up!
And a Gyro Gearloose as a bonus.
They got Sasquatch???
Wow. I still have the original comic. Sweet childhood memories.
