Ok, what's everyone making today? Besides Turkey, I'm making:
Spiral Cut Smoked Ham
Sweet Potato Casserole
Real Mashed Potato's
Meat Stuffing in the Turkey
Apple Pie (baked yesterday)
Pumpkin Pie (baked yesterday)
Green Beans Almondine
Crescent Rolls
Salad
Cranberry Sauce
Dungeness crab.
Manila clams.
Optional - Wild salmon barbecued on a green cedar plank,
depends on how hungry we feel.
Homemade clam chowder, New England style.
Fresh home bread made from wheat berries that we mill into flour.
Some sort of Veggie, it varies, spinach or green beans.
Freshly picked Avocado from our tree in the front yard.
Pumpkin pie.
I have no idea what that is, but it sounds fantastic!

It cooks more evenly so no dry white meat and undercooked dark meat. Also cooks at least 25% faster. I’ve done my Turkeys this way for about 5 years. With just two of us this year cooking a turkey would be silly.
Not sure I'm doing the same thing with Turkey, however I remove the wings and drumsticks and roast them separately so the white meat isn't overcooked.
It’s always best to pull a 2-day-er. Otherwise it’s getting up at 3am. :)
Linguine with white clam sauce and garlic bread. And cheesecake for dessert!
LOL!
Yummy meals! This will be our second TG together in a decade. Hubby worked out of state. Classic Thanksgiving meal for ourselves and our 5 muttsleys. Everytime I jump up to baste the Turkey have five canine heads and one human hovering over me.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING FREEPERS and PRESIDENT TRUMP.
I made two things - cranberry sauce with apples, oranges and Pears with pure maple syrup and pumpkin spice coffee cake. I helped my brother with a cranberry cream pie, too. My sister made a pineapple upside down cake. Mom made corn casserole, dad made stuffing.
That Pie sounds great...got a recipe?
Oh lol...Jamon! Jamon! T’was the tequila...
On a whim yesterday, because my dad likes jello, and because I was afraid I might not have enough (turns out I had too much), I made a 3 oz cherry jello but used a half can of refrigerated jellied cranberry sauce, mashed up, instead of the cold water. I blended it into the jello well with a wire whisk. Once it was partially set, I mixed in a can of fruit cocktail. It was a hit! It was really delicious, and the first thing that went. If would be great for Christmas dinner. You could even put whipping cream on it for a more festive dish. And add maybe a shake or two of cinnamon to the jello.
"Frahgeelayy, it's... Italian!" "It's a 'major award'!" "The glow of electric sex"; Santa: "no kid, you'll shoot your eye out!"...
So many memories and memorable lines.
Thank you for your wonderful post. May God, in His mercy, salve your wounds and comfort your hearts. God bless and happy thanksgiving.
Thanks for the link, it looks great, will definitely give this a try near Christmas.
So I see!
LOL! Its now the day after Thanksgiving. I’m making navy bean soup for lunch and we are ordering pizza for dinner. I can only do turkey one day at a time. :-)
