pain is not exactly what I live for nor is it my buddy.

Nor do I recommend it. It's good to know that there is pain in life. All life, every life.

Whining about it as if pain is a surprise is dopey and unrealistic and a waste of energy.

For example. The guy I addressed who was whining about "discourse"

It is what it is, and life is life. Deal.

We are here to deal with life as it is, not as we would have it be.

Hillary is real. The deep state is real. People are what they are. Antifa gonna Antifa. Dems gonna dem. Trolls gonna troll. Etc.

Not long ago, I was in a doctor's waiting room, creating a map or a presentation on my laptop -- when a sturdy, 20-something white guy asked, "Why are you doing that?"

I probably answered something like, "To stay busy..."

Whereupon, he said, "Man, you're crazy! I hurt my back awhile ago, and now I'm on full Disability -- and don't have to do nothin!"

Before I had time to respond, a 5 or 6 y/o boy came out of the office. The guy sprang to his feet, lifted the kid onto his shoulders -- and boogied off down the hall...

Left me SMH... And then I got mad, because the worthless punk was making me pay for his laziness! :-(

btw, I have lately noticed I apparently have a bad habit of missing some of the conversation. I blame my time constraints (and maybe laziness). Then regret(feel silly) when I realize my comments were a little ‘off’. I find myself reading some, typing some, working on other stuff (family and dogs stuff - so demanding(laf)), then coming back and trying to pick up reading/writing, etc.

Pain can be good. Tells you you are bleeding to death, or having a heart attack, or put your left shoe on your right foot.
