P&G Board probably could care less about Gillette sales. What is the job description of the CEO (and therefore the board) of any major corporation? Maximize shareholder value. And who are shareholders these days? Not bean-counting little old ladies, but major institutions (like college endowment funds, government pension funds) that are even more woke than major corporations.

P&G stock is up today. I'd say the board is sipping champagne, fist-bumping, and politely chortling "mission accomplished" to each other. Lost sales be damned. Who cares about that when they've guaranteed that the SJWs running investments think they are cool.

I started buying and using both gillette and nike products in the mid 1970s. both are now on my no-buy list for our entire family. it appears nike can get away with it due to their customer demographic. i’m not so sure gillette will also get a pass.

And i just ordered a Feather safety razor from Japan.

Actually, I wonder how soon they will be trying to sell me their razors for five cents a piece, because I don't expect to be buy any more. I don't do business with people who hate me. This includes the NFL and now Gillette. (Was a 65 year NFL fan, and probably a 40 year Gillette regular.)

Love this discussion. Feather blades are the absolute best. I buy 100 online for around $28 which includes shipping. Use the Jack Black cream or Chisled Face soap. Love em both.

I have three safety razors. Any quality safety razor will work fine, but I own Merkurs and a Muhle. The Muhle is for when you really want the closest shave possible. It is the most aggressive safety razor I know of and downright dangerous. The thrill is the challenge to not cut my throat.

I have a very tough beard and before I went to the safety razor I could only get about 3 shaves from a cartridge type razor. Cartridge blades were costing me around $40 a month not including soap etc. Now I use Feather double edge blades for only three shaves, but at a cost of less than $3 a month plus soap. I save over $350 a year on blades and get a shave as clean as a baby's ass!

One other benefit. When you shave so close with a safety razor you are actually removing some of the old skin and wrinkles over time. You will look younger. LOL!
