Hate to see stories like this, since hubby is a rider. May this man RIP.
I’ll bet Nostrodamus answered that question in one of his quatrains.
It darted in front of me perpendicular to path
“...motorcycles *are* known as ‘donorcycles’.
Yep. My Mom, now Retired, was an X-Ray tech with ER rotation for 20+ years. Her term for them, too. :(
Man, a thread about the death of a respected football player devolved into motorcycle horror stories pretty quickly. RIP Cedric.
I think I’ll clear my mind by taking my Triumph 955i out for a ride this evening. (About crashed my Eddy Merckx this morning after hitting a 6-inch rock at about 30 mph - downhill aided, of course.)
I've learned that texters are usually predictable: they drive 5-10 mph below what everyone else is driving, and they tend to veer to the right.
Doesn't mean all texters are like that, but it gives me a good heads up. When I'm behind one, I usually flash my high beams a few times, as if to say, "wake up, put the damn phone down!"
check out this guy’s previous arrest record. He appears to like to drink and drive.
Because most does not equal all.
I’ve also heard “murdercycles”.
Two died on 270 in Montgomery County, Maryland last night. They crashed into each other while doing wheelies. My give-a-sh*t meter is hardly moving on that one.
I accept the math, and will probably switch from Ducatis back to slow putt putts like Sportsters or along those line. Always wear helmets and armored jackets, but don't want to end up like this guy:
I’ll have to ask her about that one! ;)
“I would only ever own a dirtbike and ride off road.”
A friend of mine busted his neck on a dirtbike wipeout (he recovered pretty much fine...very lucky). So that sport isn’t without risks.
In any case, BE CAREFUL OUT THERE - we need you stay healthy and keep posting here!
Not exactly a “model citizen”, was he? He pretty much wore out his welcome with every team he played for.

‘I hear he was okay at cycling...
Thank you kind Sir.
I worked in a motorcycle shop as a kid, rode dirt bikes. I think riding street bikes is nuts, especially so in a big city.
Sure thing!
Well the thing is if it was a highway full of just motorcycles it would be fine.
But bikes dancing with cars and trucks and SUVs...
The bike’s gonna lose every time.
But you do what you enjoy because no one is promised tomorrow.
I ride every day and I just assume auto drivers do not even know Im there. The texting and driving nimbies are worse that an infant with a loaded gun
