Thank goodness! Maybe (hopefully) this will force Gordon and McReynolds and Joy to actually watch and comment on the racing going on on the track instead of reading off their endless list of stats and technical mumbo-jumbo and engaging mindless banter. But I won't hold my breath.

i have enjoyed the banter between him and bowman in the iracing races though- quite entertaining- they would comment while racing themselves- pretty funny sometimes-

Well, let's run the cars remotely for safety reasons of course. After all safety is number one right now and if it saves just one life, it will be worth it.

Haven’t watched any e-racing. Are they bantering about what’s going on on the track or are they just blathering on about stuff that’s not relevant to the racing?

Not a bad idea, actually. That might be the future of NASCAR.
At least at Darlington, there is some amount of driver skill necessary but at tracks like Daytona and Talladega, they might as well let the "drivers" control the cars from atop the grandstands where the spotters usually do their work.
The drivers are not much more than passengers anyway at those tracks. They just mash their foot to the floorboard and hope some other driver doesn't send them into the crowd.
Am I right, Ryan Newman? Up high!

This race will be a farce. With no practice at the Lady-in-Black, how many cars will hit the wall on the first lap? They have all been “racing” in sims the past 10 weeks, which is not the same (I hope I’m wrong). However, I will watch because we all ready to start living again!

I still miss Ned, Benny, Dr. Jerry and Larry. The original ESPN Nascar broadcast team from the early 80’s get-go.

I think the racing will actually be more interesting since they didn’t have a chance to practice. It seems stupid to me that they get to qualify and then make all kinds of changes to their cars before the race.

I miss them, too. I've been binge watching old NASCAR races on youtube and I enjoyed listening to Bob Jenkins and Larry Nuber. Those guys actually watched the races they were calling. Benny Parsons was the best, though.

Idiot Kyle Larson. I just heard that he lost his ride for using the N word while taking part in one of those e-races.

All cars will maintain a 10 foot physical distance from each other at all times or face disqualification, fines, and possible dismantling.

Oh sorry. Then there is no interest in seeing the cars race under remote control?

I do not care about the outcome of the race, but rather the logistics of the race with social distancing constraints.

Yeah. This is sad. They shouldn't even bother singing The National Anthem.

Competition caution at lap 30. This race already sucks.

Lap 1 — wreck 1. At least Stenhouse avoided wrecking others, but 4 wide on first lap?

It’s hard enough going 2 wide through the corners at Darlington. Stenhouse is in the 10th year of his rookie season.

Why not use the new self driving technology and make it fully remote? Or just replace NASCAR with an Xbox software version and let kids take it over!
