They prob wouldn’t unless you insisted something be done. I imagine most cops roll their eyes at calls like this and just wanna get away ASAP from such things.
There are some cops who are nuts about it, like the NYPD mask cops that have beat up and taken down mask-offenders - but I suspect most would rather be doing something else.
If you really want to have fun, do this:
1) You and your spouse take off your wedding rings before leaving the house
2) Go to the big box store of your choice togther
3) One of you goes in first and starts shopping
4) The other waits five minutes and starts shopping (divide up what types of items you will each get and put in your carts beforehand)
5) When you inevitably land up the same aisle at the same time through happenstance, act like you are two old friends who have not seen each other in a long time and greet each other with a kiss
Watch the freak out ensue.
