Yeah, I'm in favor of racial equality, too. But we reached the Point Of Diminishing Returns in this whole civil rights debacle about 50 years ago.

Opera is pretty good.
Tor has excellent privacy and reaches parts of the web others don’t.
Browser: Brave
Search engine: Duckduckgo (doesn’t track you, same results as and just as fast as google)
Ad blocker: AdBlock Plus (free)
Tracker blocker: Ghostery (free, stops trackers cold)
Alternate page viewer: Reader View (free)
Reader View is good for getting around some paywalls. It strips ads, popups, etc., and presents the page text in an easy to read format. Link is: https://add0n.com/chrome-reader-view.html
There are some other things you should do with you WiFi access point and cable modem, but that’s unrelated to Google. To complicated and hardware specific to describe in detail, but look up how to limit access to your WiFi to only the MAC addresses of your devices and make sure you have all TCP/UDP ports locked down that you do not use.

Brave is good but doesn’t save photos on iPhone. You’ll have to copy pic URL to Safari and save there. And history is not searchable and only a week or so. And no shortcuts on background. And no content bleachers on/off making some pages unviewable. Faster. Better bookmark organization.
Unfortunately, I don't think FR is set up to receive the BAT tokens. I have auto contributions set up and a few bucks a month would be going to FR, but FR is not a "verified" content provider.

Did you try lowering shields (the ad and cross site tracking blocker)? If not, go to eBay and then click on the Brave logo on the tool bar. Toggle shields and see if it fixes things.

Sorry, but I don’t see any ‘cross site tracking blocker’, or anything relative to ‘shields’. I don’t see a Brave logo on the eBay tool bar...
There should be a Lion icon (Brave logo) just to the right of the web address, below the tabs.

However, that did not repair the issue. So, I’m back to Microsoft Edge and FireFox, for now.
