There needs to be a great reckoning for those who, for politics, profit, or power, prevented people from having access to an early treatment for COVID.
I don’t think it can be said often enough that the leftist establishment’s dismissal of all early treatments for COVID in favor of vaccines, followed by hospitalization when people are in extremis, will go down as the greatest slaughter of Americans since the Civil War. Whether driven by politics, profit, or the power that vaccine mandates have given them, the entire leftist establishment dismissed Ivermectin as a “horse de-wormer” making it almost impossible for doctors to prescribe it. Yet a Japanese study shows that, in fact, Ivermectin is both “safe” and “effective.”
Because COVID appeared in America during an election year, Democrats and other leftists could not allow Trump to deal with it successfully. That meant that they had to slap down any possible treatments and keep the focus on ruinous lockdowns, ineffectual masks, and chimerical vaccines. Any early treatments were dismissed as poisonous. Instead, we were told that there was nothing to be done about COVID until we were near death, at which point going to the hospital might save us—especially if we got incredibly expensive, toxic, minimally effective Remdesivir.
When Trump mentioned the possible efficacy of Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ), an old, stable, safe malaria medicine, it was instantly shouted down as a deadly fish treatment. That came as a surprise to me because, several years ago, when I was going to Cambodia, Kaiser’s travel nurse automatically prescribed HCQ as a prophylactic to prevent my getting malaria. Although I’m the person who always gets the side effects, I had no problems with HCQ (plus, I didn’t malaria).

The left is expert at manipulation of facts to benefit themselves. (Like doing HCQ studies only on patients that are already on ventillators.)
I asked a physician if a patient asked for Ivermectin would she consider it.
She gave me an emphatic NO and when asked Why not? told me she hadn’t researched it in the past two years.

I had Covid a few weeks ago. I had been taking the Zelenko protocol of Vitamin D, zinc, and Quercetin for several weeks. My doctor told me he would prescribe Ivermectin if I could find a pharmacy to fill it. I did, and got a four day treatment. My symptoms virtually disappeared in a day or two. I’m 63.

Cheap, effective, and out of patent vs Big Pharma’s owned media and CDC. So far, the owned CDC is more than willing to sacrifice human lives to push Pfizer’s garbage vaccine and indeed it has gone out of its was to ensure there is no early treatment for Covid.
In a just world, when this disaster ends, these people would be tried, convicted, and sentenced to prison. But it will probably go the same way the Great Financial Crisis went, with the politically connected guilty parties being financially rewarded and the costs carried on the backs of the people.
In the GFC, the cost was destruction of peoples’ wealth. In C19, the cost is peoples’ lives.
My previous doc was the same. I found a few nearby (too some searching) who are using ivermectin and other therapeutics successfully. Fortunately, they are out there. Many are private pay, but I wonder if that is going to be the future of medicine, at least for outpatient. The best docs - private pray, the worst - socialized medicine minions.
I know a doctor working 14 hours a day, 7 days a week treating covid patients with Ivermectin. She’s doing all she can.

You should have asked her if she was refusing to prescribe it because it’s not a covered countermeasure and no immunity confers.
The problem is that they cannot admit that they were wrong (or more likely, lied) about Ivermectin, since that would lead to questions about why nearly a million Americans needed to die...and no, saying it was to get rid of ‘mean Tweets’ just won’t cut it when it comes to mass murder.
...so they’ll have to continue to cover up.

The conversation devolved from there. I was interviewing her to be my primary care physician. She didn’t get the job.
She works in corporate medicine and I would have understood if she had simply said “I believe it may have some merit but we’re not allowed to prescribe it.”
The PREP Act only confers liability protection for covered countermeasures.
Ivermectin’s anti-viral properties have been known about for a while.
Assuming she wasn’t lying about what she knew, if she was ignorant of one or both of those facts, God help her future patients
I have a feeling the real problem is that Ivermectin works against many common viral and bacterial infections and could shave tens of billions off of Big Pharma profits if it were widely used.

What's been missing is trial evidence of effectiveness in people.

I suspect you’re right. I also noticed a side benefit. I’ve got minor exzema. When I had covid and was taking ivermectin, my skin cleared right up.
Turns out Ivermectin has some benefits for that. I want to get on some sort of regimen.
I know someone personally who got Covid. He’s in his late 40s or early 50s. For whatever reason he went to the hospital. They put him on a ventilator. We just got a text saying he’s near death now and there is little hope he’ll pull through.
My spouse kept begging me to try and sneak in some Ivermectin for him. It’s too late now, they killed another one.
