I remember Goya Foods being in the news about 2 years ago.
The then president of Goya Foods said something that seemed supportive of MAGA values. I cannot recall what he said.
His family was very upset about it. He refused to ‘apologize’.
Twitter declared a Boycott on all Goya canned foods.
In response, conservatives declared a BUY-cott for that same brand of canned foods. Soon Goya cans were ‘flying’ off the store shelves.

My Chicken & Corn Chowder recipe(s) rely heavily upon
Goya dried yellow split peas. NOT green split peas -
a different thing & taste entirely.
Yellow split peas
do NOT taste like green split peas - not at all.
(And as if I needed an excuse to make another batch...)
It / they are very tasty. Economical too.
Healthy & yummy.

Bought 12 pounds of Goya great northern beans a couple of months ago...just in case. Added that to my 6 month emergency food supply as well as what I already have on hand.
Better safe than sorry. I started doing this at the beginning of COVID.
