No, I think that as you said the battery should be okay but when a battery is still connected to the car body it’s part of a circuit. I suspect that might result in a momentary surge being applied to a battery during an EMF, Potentially damaging the battery. But disconnecting a battery, or even having a spare sitting around, should nullify any such danger.

Wouldn't mean a thing to me. I was forced to get a smartphone when the network was upgraded to 3g and another one when it went to 4g. I only use it to call and text and rarely that.

I understand that I can now get a basic flip phone in 4g without all the computer/internet crapola. That will be my next one and an easily removable battery will be a requirement. Time to downgrade the tech.

I think, over the next 20 years windshields will be phased out. A display with radar, lidar, infra red will be normal. Imagine driving at night in a rainstorm but you see a bright clear day.
