Just took a look at Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden I will be near Table Mountain for part of the trip so that is an interesting option. Thanks

Thank you for your concern. I worry about the rest of the family that will be along. Luckly many are world travelers and are familiar with the dangers in countries like this. It should not be as scary as the easts East St. Louis East Cleveland.

OK you have touched on my biggest concern is safety and being able to recognize dangerous situations. I do not have the experience in that area. While other members of the group do we will not always be together.

I will look into them. But Durban might be out of the way. The only thing I know about Rourke's Drift if from the movie.

The battle of Isandlwana preceded Rourke’s Drift by a few hours. The two sites are a few miles apart.

The Zulus wiped out about 75% of the British Army at Isandlwana.

The Robben Island ferries leave from the V&A (Victoria Wharf) waterfront. Combine the two for a whole day of education, window shopping, and some good dining.
