White House, Media Elites Think Americans Are Too Stupid To See How Good Biden’s Economy Is
https://dailycaller.com ^ | September 22, 2023 5:28 PM ET | REAGAN REESE WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDENT

But the American people don’t see the economy the same way the White House does; about 16% of Americans believe the economy is getting better while 56% of U.S. adults say the economy is getting worse, according to the YouGov Poll.

While the White House boosts its economic record and ability to create more jobs, more Americans have been taking part-time work and even second jobs as high inflation and increased prices have affected American wallets. Inflation rose to 3.7% in August, according to the New York Post.

Additionally, Americans’ incomes have fallen for the third straight year in the Biden administration, according to September data from the US Census Bureau. The median household income, adjusted to inflation, fell from $76,330 in 2021 to $74,580 in 2022.

“Americans are getting crushed by the hidden tax of inflation which is costing the average worker more than federal income tax,” E.J. Antoni, a research fellow at the Heritage Foundation’s Grover M. Hermann Center for the Federal Budget, told the Daily Caller. “And rising interest rates have made borrowing more expensive too. The monthly mortgage payment on a median price home has doubled since Biden took office and homeownership affordability is at one of its lowest readings on record.”

Hillary Clinton once said, “some of my best ideas are inarticulable.” If you can’t point something out in a minimum of words so the hearer understands it, you aren’t talking about something that’s real. You’re talking about your emotional reaction to it. What the elite are saying is, “I’m having a wonderful emotional reaction to Biden’s politics. If you don’t have the same reaction as mine, then you’re an idiot.” I think they’ve misidentified the idiot.

What’s coming, and everyone who watches prices, sales, and market, will tell you that bad things are close. Land sales, classic vehicles, home prices have stabilized, but sales have dramatically slowed. The food chains have noticed the elderly aren’t going out to eat. Credit Card debt is skyrocketing, and default of this debt could easily push multiple banks to failure creating a rolling crisis. Food prices, fuel prices, are about to spike again. Government debt is skyrocketing, and that means availability for private sector lending will plummet.

The above isn’t an economic slowdown that’s coming, it’s potentially worse even with a large money supply. Either it’s runaway currency devaluation or it’s going to be a decrease in prices. Prices start dropping, people can’t pay interest on debt, then you get depression and bank failure.

I am NOT saying this is going to happen. I am saying that’s it’s absolutely possible to start in the next 24 months. It’s Bribemomics.

When my manager apologizes for the fact that my better-than-average merit pay raise isn't keeping up with inflation, am I really inclined to believe that things are going well in the economy?

Do any of these clowns grocery shop or pump their own gas?

I think it’s just the opposite of the headline. The white house and media are too stupid to see how bad Bidenomics is. Americans get it.

Median Elites must be retarded. Fo to the grocery store or go shopping in general, prices have tripled under the Marxist Dems.

So they are trying to feed Americans shit sandwiches and when the Americans say this sandwich tastes like shit they say Americans don’t know a good thing when it’s handed to them.

Either it’s runaway currency devaluation or it’s going to be a decrease in prices.

Von Mises already said that. The end result is either a collapse of the currency or mass default and bankruptcy.

They’re probably thinking that the economy should actually be much much worse but they worked very hard to artificially prop things up for elections.....

When your most important voters are merely paper ballots in just 7 blue counties in just 5 transition states controlled by 5 democrat-GRoPElite Secretaries of State, and when those paper ballots do not care about inflation and jobs and food and gas prices, WHO CARES about inflation and jobs and food and gas prices!

I think your comment apt. From those I remain in contact in some "blue" state areas, energy prices are beginning to bite. Time will tell. But I suspect things will get Democrat-RINO worse until what some of us see as obvious will become unavoidably apparent to many more.

Best wishes to a "but Genesis was first" advocate.

Sorry for my ‘economic’ ignorance. Had to look up Von Mises and his principles. He died in 1973, but it seems he understood.

It may not be true but supposedly Einstein said that if you can’t explain something to a moderately bright 12 year-old, you don’t understand it yourself.
