The ex-US president has brushed off Nikki Haley’s win, saying he purposely avoided campaigning in Washington DC
Republican presidential hopeful Nikki Haley defeated former US President Donald Trump in her party’s Washington DC primary on Sunday. While the win denies Trump a clean sweep of the primaries, her path to the nomination remains all but shut.
Haley beat Trump by 62.8% of the vote to 33.3%, securing all of the district’s 19 Republican delegates. The win was Haley’s first of the election season, following losses to Trump in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, South Carolina, Michigan and the Virgin Islands in January and February, and Idaho, Missouri, and Michigan on Sunday.

We “lived” in the WDC area for 30 years (before escaping). Nothing could a more positive indication of sanity, of being a patriotic American and of NOT being a pervert of some sort than “LOSING” an election in that cesspool of weirdos. Free at last...Thank God Free At Last!

What's shocking is that all nine justices actually agreed on something, ie, Trump can't be removed from any ballot. I'm glad they figured it out.

In information I found the voting percentages show 76% democrat, and 6%, republican. So Haley winning that area with the liberals obviously voting for her to get back at Trump, and the anti-Trump group of politicians living there doing the same thing, She had better win as that is the only place that the politicians can control the vote in a mob quantity.
D.C has three electors. Hope they don’t get lost in the landslide.

I am not so sure she couldn’t get the Democrat nomination if she suddenly switched parties. They are so desperate for a real candidate and just think how many boxes she can check off for the DIE vote.
I don’t hear anyone calling it an “inflection point”, and rightly so.
I voted in the DC GOP primary about 20 years ago. Was held in the lobby of a hotel. Felt like a attending a small trade show. Bit of a farce.

In California and elsewhere, you are absolutely right. NOT in the swamp of Uniparty, DC. These are the foot soldiers of the Uniparty who live there permanently.
I have only been there once for a 3 day visit back in 1981 and I pretty much feel the same way you do about the place.
