You can’t say that about me. I have paddled miles and miles in a canoe. That is the extent of my seafaring expertise. I have never tried to infer anything otherwise. That being said, my background in watching the FBI lie and misdirect is extensive, a professional level of knowledge on that subject.
You’re talking to the wrong guy, I’m no seafarer. I do have fifty years experience of fueling engines. I have never misfueled an engine as you describe. That’s me with cars, tractors, motorcycles and mowers. Maybe the level of expertise to properly fuel a ship that, with cargo, is worth hundreds millions isn’t so high as mine fueling the rototiller.

I spent 2 years on a Navy Destroyer in the WestPac. 390ft long and 3600 tons. Sometimes, especially when low on fuel, it would pop around like a cork. Each bunk came equipped with two straps to keep you from falling out at night in rough seas. Sometimes when walking along a corridor you could put your foot on the wall. Ships, no matter the size, are at the mercy of winds and tides.
