Democrats have already made it clear that they will stop at nothing – nothing – to prevent Donald Trump from winning in November. So, we aren’t surprised to read reports that President Joe Biden might declare a “climate emergency” this year in hopes that it gooses his reelection odds. Never mind that such a declaration would put the U.S. right on the path to a Venezuela-style future.
Late last week, Bloomberg reported that “White House officials are weighing whether to declare a national climate emergency several months out from the 2024 election.”
Bloomberg goes on to report that:
White House advisers are divided over the idea of declaring a climate emergency, with some saying it wouldn’t provide Biden with enough newfound authority to make substantial changes, the people said. Others, however, argue such an announcement would galvanize climate-minded voters.
Read that again. Inside the White House, the only reason being given for not declaring an emergency is that it wouldn’t give Biden enough dictatorial powers.
That’s a stunning admission from an administration that is supposedly devoted to “protecting democracy.”
Let’s leave aside the entirely fatuous notion that there is anything even remotely constituting a climate “emergency.” What would be the basis for such a declaration? The number of hurricanes, fires, floods? None of these has been trending upward. Death rates from natural disasters are a tiny fraction of what they were 60 years ago, and lower than they were 20 years ago. Food production is way up.
But Biden has already used the “climate crisis” as an excuse to impose a draconian electric vehicle mandate on the country, attack a host of household appliances, pour billions into “clean energy” scams, and more.
As Bloomberg notes, declaring a climate emergency “could enable the president to halt or limit crude exports for at least a year at a time, suspend offshore drilling, and throttle the movement of oil and gas on pipelines, ships, and trains.”
Apparently all that is not enough “newfound authority” for Biden’s minions.
As we just learned from the three-year COVID national emergency, the left will eagerly use a climate emergency declaration to strip Americans of basic rights.
Whatever you think of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., he is one of the few who has been outspoken about the dangers the COVID precedent set.
“We’ve now established a precedent in this country – they suspended the First Amendment: religion; freedom of association when they did the lockdowns,” he told Fox News.
“[They restricted] freedom of speech. They banned jury trials against vaccine companies – that’s [a violation of] the Seventh Amendment. They abolished property rights [which violates the] Fifth Amendment [when] they closed 3.3 million businesses with no due process, no just compensation, although there was no pandemic exception in the United States Constitution.”
Way back in 1973, a Senate report noted that emergency declarations give the president the ability to “seize property; organize and control the means of production; seize commodities; assign military forces abroad; institute martial law; seize and control all transportation and communication; regulate the operation of private enterprise; restrict travel; and, in a plethora of particular ways, control the lives of all American citizens.”
Three years after that report came out, Congress passed a law designed to put some guardrails around these powers.
But COVID showed how little these guardrails mean when Democrats are in charge. And Biden has already shown that he couldn’t give a hoot about legal or constitutional limits to his authority – especially when he thinks it will help his reelection chances. Just look at the repeated attempts to undermine the Constitution with his student loan bailouts.
Declaring a climate emergency would give Biden the ability to control anything that uses energy – which means literally all human activity – in the name of fighting this emergency.
If Biden were to declare a “climate emergency” and if – God forbid – it helps him win reelection, there will be little hope for the future of this nation.
That was always the plan wasn’t it? Controlling the means of production.

That is not the right question. The right question is will Americans sit idly by and allow the evil old man to completely destroy the nation without even as much as a verbal protest.

If Biden wins the election, he and his advisors will be unhinged, with 4-years between elections and Biden not being able to run again, there is no telling what his handlers will do.
If Biden goes full climate Czar, the rest of the western world will jump in behind him.

Biden - his handlers, actually - will need some sort of Reichstag fire to cement this in. Could be a natural disaster. Could be a report of imminent doom (happening not in years, but in months). So many possibilities.

Dictator regarding the open borders.
Dictator regarding student loans.
Dictator regarding climate change, with EV mandates and other forced regulations regarding oil.
Dictator on taking away Trump’s rights to defend himself.
Dictator when he stole the election in 2020.
Dictator on foreign policy and defense.
Dictator on Covid mandates.
Dictator on just about anything his administration touches, which is essentially everything.
I think it would help the climate if more democRATs lit themselves on fire.

The problem, of course, is that the mainstream media has completely abandoned their watchdog role when it comes to Democrats.
Biden has done terrible things. And he will continue to do terrible things. Sadly, a good chunk of Americans will not hear about most of it. And what little they do get to hear with be throughly sanitized.
I really don’t know how that can be fixed. It’s not like you can switch from ABC to CBS, and get another viewpoint.
He adopted that approach on his first day after being installed. He has repeatedly issued EOrders in conflict with existing law and even the Const and simply says that the courts will sort it out — but, by then we will achieve what we want.
In addition to being a pedo and CCP tool, he is a traitor.
