Art Weston reeled in a fearsome, 200lbs. prehistoric alligator snapping turtle

Weston was trying to catch a record-breaking alligator gar when it happened

The prehistoric beast had its mouth open and was ready to bite and claw them

I saw that on Fox last week.....had one or two encounters with alligator snapping turtles......nasty reptile with a really bad attitude.

Snapping turtles are mean. Compared to a snapping turtle, an alligator is relatively docile!.................

Quite true. In the Florida countryside, I have picked up both smallish alligators and large snapping turtles that had stopped on the road as they pondered their next move. Pound for pound, snapping turtles are nastier and usually more dangerous.
