Do The Right Thing vs. Looking Popular Best Quotes from Kerry and Bush in Debate

Best and Worst of the Debate

Best Kerry Line of the Debate:

"From the looks of the people in this audience, the only ones in this room who will be affected by the president's tax cut for the rich will be myself, the president, and Charles Gibson."

Kerry's inner snob made an appearance last night at the debate. How could he tell the annual income of the audience? I guess no one was wearing Prada. One must have a trained eye for spotting designer clothes. Maybe there were no five hundred dollar haircuts like the one Kerry sports. There might have been frown lines and wrinkles on foreheads, suggesting monthly Botox treatments were not an option.

Finally, maybe people looked like the riff-raff one would find at the local malls, fast food joints or gas stations. Not the kind of high end types with whom Kerry typicaly socializes.

Best Bush Line of the Debate

Besides, "wanna buy some wood?

"People love America. Sometimes they don't like the decisions made by America, but I don't think you want a president who tries to become popular and does the wrong thing. You don't want to join the International Criminal Court just because it's popular in certain capitals in Europe"

Ahhh, this is music to my ears. On a personal note, this is the exact same principle I have tried to instilled in my children. What a defining moment for me and my family to hear those words come from our president. How refreshing to have a president whose words, ideals and values can be supported by me and used as a teaching tool to my kids.

Instead of explaining oral sex to my kids, I got to explain doing the right thing.

Thank-you Mr. President.

The president had so many great lines, along with important ideas. Kerry had a lot of silliness to say. It was hard to choose. Let me hear your opinions on the best and worst from both candidates.

Amen. I had to tell my daughter what oral sex was while she was in middle school. She was disgusted with clintoon from that moment on. I wish she had has this example growing up. God has been smiling on us, let's hope we get four more years.

Even if Kerry had some good ideas, his meandering way of speaking and tendency to orate as if on the Senate floor puts his audience to sleep. I think that Bush's performance was fantastic, but the most important thing is the clear difference drawn between the two candidates. Kerry looks down on everyone around him, while Bush is comfortable as one of the people. Kerry has long, womanly fingernails and perfectly coiffed hair, while Bush riffs with finny quips and delivers big ideas with simple, clear language. This contrast in character will lead to a Bush victory next month!

Sad, isn't it? At my kids' middle school at that time, oral sex was known as "A Monica".
