Around 2 P.M., ET, I called Dr. Richard Land's radio show, and talked with his substitute guest host regarding Duncan Hunter. I didn't have to wait too long to get on the show at that time.
Anyway, I told the host, as well as the audience, some of the things that Duncan Hunter stands for on both the social issues, and other issues.
I also said so many people like Hunter, but need to have the courage to fight for him, and it's still early.
The host said he thought Hunter was a great candidate, too. Right after my call, a naysayer called and seemed to like Hunter, but said congresspersons don't win, and then he said he was for Senator Fred Thompson. I wish I could have told him that not that many senators ONLY have won.
But I'm glad I got Hunter's name out, and let the conservative, religious audience know that Hunter is a strong values voters' candidate.

That is so clever, and my husband said that’s better than RINO.
I never cared for the term RINO because Republicans come in all stripes, from liberal to conservative. I can only identify with “rock solid, I would rather die than give in”, conservative Republicans.
Everyone of the “top tier”? may make every attempt to seem and govern as conservatives. But if it isn’t burned into their soul, they will capitulate to liberal pressure every time. They don’t have the fight inside them because they do not truly believe what they are saying. I won’t waste my vote on them.
Good for you, Sun! Why Land doesn’t support a fellow Baptist is beyond me! Obviously, he doesn’t log onto Free Republic, or he’d be the wiser. The person who dialed in for FDT was no doubt from our forum, too. Old initials SR?

imo, while it’s better to have a talk show host agree with us, so they can expand on what we say, even if they don’t, we’re still reaching thousands or millions of people out there who will hear what our candidate stands for.

You hit the nail on the head, and I wish CDEO was as well known as RINO, because it is so much more accurate.
I think Dr. Land likes him very much, but some folks seem to be settling too early. Many voters won’t even start paying attention until December.
Dr. Land’s substitute did agree with me when I said we need to FIGHT for Hunter, because it’s early.
I get nervous on the radio, and I had at least 4 “ya knows,” but that’s OK, he let me talk long enough to get my main points out, plus asked me a question, before I got the “mute.” :)
I’m pretty tired of being called a one issue voter for supporting Hunter. I’m anything but a single issue voter but if there was one I would still support Hunter based on his belief in American sovereignty. That covers a very wide range of issues that the CDEOs don’t want to see come up on the campaign trail.
The democrats don’t want to see those issues either. Seems like we’ve got two parties working toward the same goal and using social issues to keep everyone angry at each other so we don’t stop and point fingers at both parties.

Fred has lost ~30 points at Intrade over the last few weeks, looks like it’s stabilizing at ~6%.

I have learned that from the elections here. Sens. Conrad and Dorgan run as conservatives but then vote liberal in Washington. Most of the voters don’t see that, which irritates me to no end. I guess it shouldn’t surprise me that so many freepers have the same problem. They can’t seperate the rhetoric from the resume.
Thanks for that great info., and that can be used for countering naysaying if we call a talk show (politely, of course :) ).

That where an editor’s letter might help, and get your friends to do the same, on what they promised BUT how they voted.
That’s enough to make conservatives more than boiling mad.

And what “one issue” would that be? Wanting a true conservative? I am interested in many issues. Duncan Hunter comes closest of all the candidates on every single one of them.
I would accuse them of being one issue voters. Hillary! They are so damned afraid of Hillary that they can’t think straight.
