Best ever C/F steak, in the U. S. is at the “Four Corners Restaurant” in Eureka Montana, the owner never uses anything but U.S. Select Sirloin and tenderizes it. Served with Cream Gravy, Green Snap beans, hot biscuit. Just to die for

Tenderize meat by pounding with meat mallot

That is a bit redundant when using cube steak. There is a reason it is called cubed steak and that reason is why you pay extra for cubed steak.

== I like my breast sun dried! ==

During a visit to America, Winston Churchill was invited to a buffet luncheon at
which cold fried chicken was served. Returning for a second helping, he asked
politely, "May I have some breast?"

"Mr. Churchill," replied the hostess, "in this country we ask for white meat or dark
meat." Churchill apologized profusely.

The following morning, the lady received a magnificent orchid from her guest of
honor.

The accompanying card read:

"I would be most obliged if you would pin this on your white meat."

Snort! LOL!

England really went thru it during those war years. But with leaders like Churchill and the strength of the English people, they stood against Hitler and prevailed.

LOL, thats what Ive been told. I think its a matter of if you can survive the BEPs youll likely survive whatever life throws at you during the coming year. LOL!!!!!!

When I was growing up we did the BEPs/hog jowls thing every new years. Im SO glad to be done w/ that. That and poke/mustard/turnip greens. Even the thought of it makes me wince. Oh and sweet potatoes, thats another thing I no longer eat by choice. Nasty, nasty!!!!!! LOL, I think I might lose my ‘southern guy’ card for this...huh? :)

LOL, I see Ive stirred the hornets nest. LOL!!!!!!! Yall are too funny.

I must confess that altho I was born and raised in the south, lived there until after college and married a southern belle we spent many many years in New England. I came to really appreciate that ‘damn’ yankee cooking. I very much like boiled dinners, corned beef & cabbage, baked beans and brown bread, baked cod and lobster. I also discovered they make some really outstanding biscuits N of the Mason/Dixon line too. We turned our ‘yankee’ friends on to chick fried steak w/ drippings gravy, grits (yum!!!!), hominy, catfish & puppies etc etc. Lets call it a cultural exchange. LOL!!!!
