Bring me the head of Tucker Carlson
my big mouth blog ^ | 12/30/10 | flood

An apparently sober Tucker Carlson was advocating capital punishment for animal cruelty on TV this week. For those who missed it, where have you been? While filling in for Sean Hannity on Fox, Carlson expressed the opinion that Michael Vick, pro-bowl Quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, should have gotten the death penalty for his participation in a dog fighting ring a few years ago.

Tucker, who finally has lost the bow tie and with it his mind, is in the process of trying for a hat trick. I think he wants to host his third show on his third different cable network, and I guess he figures the best way of completing the mission is to create a stir. Calling for the head of an NFL quarterback is one way to do it.

This is where my ideology and my rooting interest always seem to collide, why the hell is there always friction between the Philadelphia Eagles and conservative talking heads? Every once in a while Rush Limbaugh feels the need to tick me off too. We'll get back to Rush.

This conflict keeps happening though and it always makes me feel... ah, conflicted. Which means more to me a super bowl or lower taxes and less government? I'll give you a hint, if Michael Vick gets pulled over at 3 AM and the cops find a couple of dead bodies in the trunk of his car, as long as they aren't friends of mine, I'd be okay with the boys in blue looking the other way and writing him up for failure to yield. Philly cops, being philly cops, I'd expect no less.

“This guy doesn’t really know football either. McNabb is overrated, as the Redskins are finding out now.”

Ah, no, what the Redskins are finding out is McNabb is passed his prime. They seem to find that out about a lot of players. A whole bunch of formerly good players seem to near retirement as Redskins.

People don’t think before they react in a fascist manner anymore and Tucker is one of those people. Was he just being an tee vee attention whore or does he really want the State to kill people who have abused animals?

I think Deion Sanders retired with the Redskins too.

But no, McNabb was overrated when he was in his prime, for the exact reasons that Rush stated when he was fired from ESPN.

Sans his practice of killing dogs, Vick Could have been one of the greatest QB's of all time. I don't think there's ever been a better overall athlete to play in the league.
