So if you are a 70 year-old Nancy Pelosi, or Paul Krugman — with a potent private health insurance plan such as the one enjoyed by Members of Congress and other bureaucrats — you will get every appropriate surgery and treatment applicable. But if you are a 70 year-old former bookkeeper or waitress on Medicare, well — you have swung your last golfclub or danced your last waltz, because the “ethics panel” that assesses your unithood will have no problem inventing a equation that goes something like, “Potential-Tax-revenues-minus-potential-cost-divided-by-social-and-political-value-equals…a negligible unit.

You would think it would act like that but it gets worse. Remember Hillarycare? She dealt with this. She did not want a Rush Limbaugh with lots of money getting better care than Joe and Jane Blow so she wanted to make it illegal for a doctor to treat the rich patient differently. That was the overreach that killed her plan. But you know damned well that's the plan. Besides, a dead rich guy is a gubermint windfall if they get the death taxes to their liking.

The death panel Palin referred to is called The Independent Payment Advisory Board in ObamaCare.

My thoughts are that Nancy Pelosi and Mr. Krugman will face that ultimate equalizer, death, just as we all shall. However, their fancy medical plan which they have financed with the blood, sweat and tears of others, will not protect them from whatever His plan is for their lives. Evil will not prevail.

we all knew this before Sarah Palin said it for us. History has taught the lesson. We know what happens when the delusional come to power and begin marginalizing certain groups.

And you’ll be shuffled off to the room with the big screen full of daffodils and excellent speakers blasting Vivaldi, and made “comfortable.”

Fine with me. I'd rather that than what I've seen with two of my friends' mothers: tons of medications and surgery keeping them alive for years of confused, convalescent misery, running into the millions of dollars, and for what. Both old women moaned that they just wanted to die. But oh, no, we're going to keep you alive for as long as possible so you can lie in that bed month after month while reruns of CSI: Miami play on the little TV by the door. Screw that. I'll take the Vivaldi and the morphine, thank you very much. And bring me a gin & tonic.

Betsy McCaughey, who read the whole bill, first informed people of the rationing boards written into Obamacare. That spawned all the angry townhalls on the healthcare bill.

Palin just renamed the rationing board as death panels.

So when one reaches 70 will there be even greater “Unit Discounts” in addition to “Senior Discounts?

I play golf with a man that is 84 years old. If you were try and guess his age he looks to be 65-70. He contributes his time to charities and helping others who are less fortunate.

Setting an age of 70 for everyone is BS.

The first step is to dehumanize us, and to name us something other than what we are...Mothers, Fathers, Sisters, Brothers, Sons, and Daughters...when we become something other than family, friends, and humans, we become things, pronouns, and objects. I am not a unit, I am not an item, I am not what I need, I am not what I want, I am not what I was...I am a child of God, and loved by Him, and important in the Eyes of God. I am what I will be.

"And you’ll be shuffled off to the room with the big screen full of daffodils and excellent speakers blasting Vivaldi, and made “comfortable.” "

Not true.

I knew an active full of life alert 93 year old woman. One day she decided to paint her front door before her diner guests arrived. Yes, she was giving a party that night. While painting, she fell and broke her leg, not hip. She died two weeks later.

In the hospital they tortured her by keeping her in the most uncomfortable positions. One time, they even had her upside down. The daughter tried everything to get her mom out of there. Problem was, the doctors changed daily. There was no sole doctor responsible for her. It seemed all doctors experimented on her to suit whatever agenda they were pursuing.

There were no daffodils or Vivaldi for this 93 YO "unit". She was tortured. There was no reason for her to be kept in the hospital just for a leg cast.

Wow. I can't believe anyone with an ounce of commonsense would allow a group of government employees decide that your own life isn't worth living. How long will it be before the death panels decide that not only will they allow tax dollars to be spent to prolong a life suffering from an aggressive cancer but that the cost/benefit analysis means that people with MS are killed early in life because of what it would cost to keep them alive. That a mandate to kill Downs kids in the womb will be enacted because they are useless in life and are not worth the money spent to keep them alive?

The problem with the death panels is not that some faceless burrocrat will decide your fate but that the list of ailments and conditions that result in refused treatment will grow and grow.

To save money they won't cutback on expenses with ObamaCare, they will just grow the list of ailments and conditions get rid of more people so they won't have to treat them.

This is evil. We have elected the enemy. It is our moral and ethical duty for every one of us to elect people who will get rid of Obamacare. We are at a crossroads. These people who would deny our friends and loved ones medical care are nothing but pus filled boils on the butt of Adolph Hitler. My grandfather was at Normady, he made it all the way to Buchenwald, a place where a lot of these people were spawned from now we got them here. They are anti-Christs. This has really made me angry, both my parents are over 70.

I'd like to see them try to deny a Tony Soprano, and/or a relative therof, like this. All I can say is I hate to be in that bureaucrat's shoes, the Mafia being what it is, but it is getting to the point that I favor the Mafia over the U.S. Government, at least the prior will leave you alone unless you owe them money and/or a threat to them.

So this is how to ‘fix’ Medicare. Medicare eligibility will rise to 70 at which time one can only receive comfort care for a serious illness.
Better to move to Costa Rica for lower cost health care. At least there, you will have a chance.
zero wants to let seniors to die or force them to retire abroad. The money saved will be for illegals and his homies on Medicaid who will repay him with their votes.
zero is a heinous and dispicable creature that will meet a disastrous fate at judgement. Let us pray that the Lord hastens that day before many good people are sent to an early grave as a result of his evil policies.
