Admitting that the playing of the song Lyin Ass Bitch as GOP presidential candidate Minnesota Representative Michelle Bachman made her entrance on the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon TV show, was a miscalculation, NBC executives announced that the bands drummer would be grounded for a week.
While it may seem unfair to place all the blame on one person, the offense isnt serious enough to warrant sanctions further up the line, said NBC Senior Vice-President Doug Vaughan. If Ms. Bachman had been a more important person sterner measures mightve been considered.
The precise nature of the so-called grounding remains unclear. Personnel actions are confidential, Vaughan insisted. But those who themselves have been grounded as punishment can grasp the gist of the penalty.
Drummer Ahmir Thompson vows he will not take this lying down. Since when is telling the truth a crime? Thompson asked. He also demanded that the punishment be suspended until higher authorities are consulted. The President is a good friend of mine and so is his wife, Thompson maintained. The NBC brass need to know that therell be consequences if I am made to suffer in any way for exercising my rights.

Love it...and I beat the ping - bonus points.
Hahahaha...if ONLY any action they took would be that punitive...
There’s actually a song with that name? I wonder who the writer was thinking about when that snappy tune was written.
“If Ms. Bachman had been a more important person, there might have been sterner measurers.”
The human person is now purely relative, based fully on title. As in a Hillary, a Michelle Obama, versus a Michelle Bachman. A little disheartening.
Post here.
If the guest had been Czar B.O.’s wife, then the whole band would have been HUNG, DRAWN, and QUARTERED before the end of the program!
That was EXACTLY what I thought! Congresswomen Bachman is an important person, ala Hillary Clinton. But beyond all that, How disrespectful to have that song played to any women as they are introducing her!
This Thompson POS can scream to the President and let’s see what happens. We are watching now!
“MIscalculation?” Bull crap. “Grounded?” What is he, four?
This is satire, but I wonder whether anything at all will happen to Douchelove — not only for insulting a guest but for LYING ABOUT IT in his non-apology. (He lied that it was a “spur of the moment thing,” after he’d tweeted about it hours before show.)
If I were Fallon, I’d tell Douchelove that if he (Douche) didn’t apologize on-air and mean it, then I (Fallon) would SAY SO on the air (that Douche had been asked to, and had refused). Better still if Douchelove were suspended for a month.
By saying he was “grounded”, it seems that they are just making a joke about it. It sounds juvenile. They are doing everything they can do to make it less serious.
Heh, remember, this is John Semmens posting this...:)
John Semmens has made me bite so many times I have considered suing him personally for the cost of my blood pressure medication...
I've been sucked in once or twice myself.....
That bast**d got me.
” But beyond all that, How disrespectful to have that song played to any women as they are introducing her! “ <<<<
I should have added what you said, as I agree entirely. I was just so floored by the statement on Bachman’s
“importance” being the determining factor for NBC’s reaction to obscenity.
LMAO, I didn’t bite this time.
Hehehe...as I implied, I’ve been nailed more times than I can count. As I have mentioned to Mr. Semmens...there has to be some distinguishing characteristic that sets his satire apart from reality!
