The British public has reacted with fury after footage of the Queen performing a Nazi salute as a young girl was published by The Sun.
The shocking film from 1933 shows Edward VIII teaching his nieces the seven-year-old future Queen and her three-year-old sister Princess Margaret how to do the salute in the gardens at Balmoral.
The publication of the 17-second film has outraged thousands across the nation who believe that the Queen cannot be held responsible for her actions as a girl playing with her family.
Scores of Twitter users vented their anger this morning, saying The Sun had 'sunk to a new low' and calling for the newspaper's owner Rupert Murdoch to be banned from the UK.

The actions of seven year old children ceased to outrage me long ago.
Constant victim whining are moving in the same direction regarding German history.

It’s par for the course if you run for president though, unless your name’s Barack Obama. Call me a ghoul for sensationalism I guess. If they (the media) know about it I want to know about it.

So what? Edward VIII was a Nazi sympathizer, as were many people in 1933. Tabloids prey on the stupid and uninformed, just like the US MSM.

Yet the left proudly flies the rainbow flag of the Homonazis who, if they could, would throw conservative Christians into box cars.

People should read up on the Bellamy Salute.
Thank you. Extremely illuminating. For those who haven't yet clicked, we used a similar salute (which was supposed to go with our Pledge of Allegiance) until a few years AFTER it was adopted by Mussolini and later Hitler. Roots are in ancient Rome. The same royals might well have been taught it here in 1933, and it would have nothing to do with Hitler or the Italian fascists. Worth reading up on.

If you get a chance, watch some video of the 1936 Berlin Olympic Opening Ceremonies, many delegations passed in front of Hilter giving out the Nazi salute.

His Nazi sympathies were the tip of the iceberg. The movie The King's Speech has become one of my recent "can watch this a dozen times" favorites. Edward's affair with and abdication over a twice divorced American (rumored) dominatrix was one of the providential events in British history. They avoided having a traitor on the throne during their worst crisis since the English Civil War. Would that we'd been as fortunate with our presidency these past seven years.

I’m sure Eddie VIII was just showing the kids how to greet Uncle Adolf in case he dropped by for tea and strudel...

The left uses the lack of historical knowledge with great effect.

Yep— your hand on your forehead, ( like a salute) as you said “ I pledge allegiance” —— and then the outstretched arm, as you said “ to the flag”.
