Seven out of Ten divorces are requested by the wife. Men are simple creatures. We are easy. Women are a bit more difficult to please.
Divorce has a terrible impact on the kids and economic impact on women as well.
American women are more miserable now than they were before feminism took root in our country.
Is why, among other reasons, I like being single.
Society was convinced marriages are created and ended at the whim of the state’s civil law. Civil law changes, civil law will never stop changing. It is based on whatever judges, politicians or the voting public happen to think about it at any one time.
I was lucky but if I were me years ago — today. I would never marry -— EVER!!!
Lawyers will tell you it doesnt matter who is plaintiff, and who is defendant.
It is true because lawyers make money no matter which one you are.
It does matter if you file or she does. My advice is you file first as plaintiff. As the guy if you file electronically, watch the system you are using because often it will change the man to be the defendant. I helped a friend and was doing some of the system filing online and it switched it multiple times as info was entered.

Every guy who has been through “divorce” (actually “dissolution of marriage — divorce is probably only in a few states) knows the deck is stacked against him.
A woman can have an affair in front of her husbands eyes, kick the husband out of the house, get a restraining order to keep husband from coming home, sell everything he owns, including his clothes, give his booze to her BF, snd he has NO recourse.
When they get to court, HE invariable pays spousal support, no matter her financial situation. After many years, even with no kids, he MIGHT get a sliver of what is left of what he once owned, less her huge take of his retirement.
Kids? HAHAHAHAHAHA — she gets them, gets child support which she uses for herself and not the kids with no recourse. Ex-hubbie pays for her and new BF to live in the style they want with no work and him as an ATM.
If he kicks, she hauls him into court every other week with HER lawyer billing HIM for the privilege.
Family Law favors women: YA THINK????
AND FAMILY COURT IS WORSE. ALL MAN HATING WOMEN INCLUDING JUDGES!!
My wife and I have decided that whomever would want to get a divorce would be forced to take both the house and the kids.
Look at DIVORCE INC on netflix. Really sad story.
You are correct. Ball busted womyn judges make up most ‘family courts’ (should be called anti-family courts) and the man loses just walking in the door.
[Every guy who has been through âdivorceâ (actually âdissolution of marriage â divorce is probably only in a few states) knows the deck is stacked against him.]
Sounds about right. The husband’s side of the family suffers too.
It does indeed sir, and probably will for, oh let's see, about the next 750,000 years. In other words, it's not going to end anytime soon.
So more women not working (presumably by staying home to care for children), higher savings rates, and closer to equal division of assets in the event of divorce are bad outcomes?
Yes, ironically, traditionalists are getting some win out of this otherwise horrible situation.
No, men may leave their wives but they do not usually initiate civil action because 1) Men can live in ambiguity and not care and women generally cannot. 2) Women with children need protection from spendy estranged spouses.
Men have the same recourse that every other group that has faced discrimination has done, which is to unite and fight back. By not fighting back, they are consenting to the system that is shafting them. After all, silence is consent.
I still gave her close to $17K extra to insure there was enough to take care of my kids - she didn't use it properly and it's a good thing I didn't hear about some of the crap going on until much later (I lived in S. MS and she lived in upstate NY after the divorce) or I may have committed a really bad sin.
