The volume and extent of the Trump trashing today, the eve of Super Tuesday, has been beyond over the top. I perused the various networks, CNN, FOX and all the usual suspects including the print media, WaPO, NYT and web sites such as HuffPo. They are pulling out all the stops and saying as many negative things as they can about Trump. It hit me late in the afternoon that the day seemed like one big paid political ad from the MSM, including FOX. Some of the people actually looked like they were going to blow a gasket.
Watched Megyn Kelly and she continues the David Duke/KKK mantra as have all the other suspects in evening prime time. Trump adressed this issue last Friday, but no, they can't let it rest. It seems it's been on every hour all day.
Rubio has gone all in with his comments with some pretty bizarro accusations. Cruz has been fairly civil in his criticisms but still attacking Trump pretty hard.
Talk radio is not immune. Beck talking about Trump and making references to Hilter. Even Levin going over the sequence of the Duke/KKK thing repeatedly. Hannity did say he was really pissed off at Rubio and seemed to express he thought Trump was getting a raw deal today.
It seems to me this is the last ditch effort to derail Trump with the undecideds or just keep people home.
Couple the TDS with ignoring Cruz and the lovefest with Rubio, it's enough to make you want to pull your hair out.
Is this the sample of what we are going to see in the general election?
Will this actually help Trump in the minds of some voters?
The media are snakes-—in need of a good crushing..
They are very scared. Scared things are dangerous but still they are panicking.
And don’t think for a second the democrats aren’t scared most of all. They lose when we don’t let them pick our candidate.
He’s seen nothing compared to what will be thrown at him as he continues winning. And, if gets the nomination, it will be Wall to wall till Election day.
Its more than about Trump - its a movement. Hard to stop a grandswell.
I am not a fan of Trump.
But I came home tonight and my wife had the networks on (I don’t watch except when I speak to her and that stuff is up there) and every single thing, one after another, was an attack on Trump, a negative, bad imagery (They had his name up there with David Duke, they had him with the Confederate Flag behind him, and so on)
I have nearly reached the point that I am ready to pull the lever for whomever the networks and the GOPe are completely hysterical over. Even if I dislike Trump, seeing the likes of Andrea Mitchell trying to paint him with tar (in a way that only liberals can paint people they are frightened to death of) was enough to make me decide to vote for Trump.
So, yes. In answer to your question, it does affect me. I am ready to do what pisses them off the most.
People have tuned out the media and the voters have tuned out the GOP. Trump is the vehicle for millions of people to tell the party and the media Fu*%* You! Voters have correctly concluded that this is all just a big hatchet job on Trump and the media trashing will have no effect. Tomorrow is going to be a repudiation of the GOPe such that has never been seen before.
Three e-mails from T Cruz begging for money within a 2 hour period. Said he needed $167,000 before midnight. Desperation? I hope!
Yeah... I get 3 or so a week from his campaign. Have for a couple of months now.... I used to get them from Trump too..... but I unsubscribed a couple of times and they took me off their list.
I spent half the day at the doctor and don’t watch TV but hubby told me the same over dinner. Virtually non-stop on all channels.
I’m not a Trump guy (frankly, none of the candidates particularly thrill me), but to me, there’s a simple explanation.
He had a “senior moment”/”brain fart”. It happens to all of us.
Thank you for feeding the elephant. It likes straw. ;-)
Every poll I have seen today shows a huge landslide for Trump. Even the 3 Texas polls which had Cruz ahead... 2 were MOE. Panic and desperation is settling in..
Your comment reminded me of another thought I had today. You know, Trump, Levin and others have said, "We either have a country or we don't." Well, I was thinking, "Do we still have a system where We the People pick the nominee or not?" The MSM and the Republican party are in such a tizzy that we might not pick their preplanned nominee. They're already po'ed that we derailed their plans for Jeb. Now they're seeing Rubio's not going to really work out. Panic time!
News for them: This time We the People pick the nominee!
Friend, I have never needed you more than I do today.- Sounds pretty desperate to me. I’ve never given him any money. I told the RNC to stop sending e-mail to me months ago!
