“Yes or no answers only...”

“Does commercial advertising work?” Yes

“Does cigarette smoking in films promote cigarette smoking?” Yes

“Does “product placement” in films work?” Yes

“Does violence in films promote violence?” Yes

“It is a fair question.” No, it is not. There is no reasonable relationship between the two.

Most enlightened people realize that the ban on smoking in theaters was instituted originally because of fire danger and the discomfort of other theater patrons. That was far prior to the current political correctness dogma.

P.S. The ‘second hand smoke’ hoax is pure B.S. propagated by the anti-smoking crowd. Dosage is the key factor with any medication or carcinogenic. The studies attempting to link the two are a phony as the Anthropogenic (Human Driven) Global Warming cult studies.

Scientific study that backs up the author's conclusion:

Does violence in the Bible promote violence?

Should we edit that out?

Thanks, it’s always nice to have science on my side!

We tend to focus on the bad role model of violence in TV and movies, but forget about the constant depiction of real-life violence that plays out on the news constantly. Tragedies like the one in Florida are exploited for dramatic television and huge ratings in cable news, spawning MORE violence from mentally-ill copycats. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if media isn’t aware of the psychological effects but knows it’s a path to forward the left-wing agenda of gun control. Until we start confronting this deadly viscous cycle, the mass shootings aren’t going to stop (and I’m not entirely convinced the mainstream left-wing media WANTS it to stop).

If violence in films doesn’t promote violence, why did they ban smoking in movies?

A devastatingly good point. People getting blown away constitutes a PG-13 rating, while a character smoking pushes into an R. It's a mad world!

The media with its ‘wonder what his motive was’ and ‘how did he get that gun’ and other expansions of the story bears some responsibility for the expanding number of school shootings. The make it seem like these shooters are somebody instead of calling for their execution. They keep the story going for weeks. They anaylze the shooter, his parents, and anybody else who will let them expand the print they can get out of it.
