Need an A10 escort.
Whoa.
Is this legitimate? Or a blog post?
Not sure which.
Back in the eighties, Honeywell had an electronic enhanced lens for satellites that detected a laser and protected the satellite’s sensors from it. I would think that something as simple as polarized film on a pilot’s canopy and additional polarization oh his goggles would do the trick.
The Chinese are foolish to start playing around with a potential weapon long before it would be used in combat. That gives more time to develop and deploy counter measures. One counter measure would be to fire a laser source seeking missile.
Thank God that we have Ruby to do that for us.
...anyone heard details about the PR C-130 crash..????...look like he lost all hydraulics..major failure of some sort
Somehow, I don’t think it would be difficult to set up a Wild Weasel platform with missiles that home on laser emitters the way ARM misses home on radar...
Then, the hostile pinging with lasers might stop.
Pilots need protective polarized eye shielding.
And yet there are Freepers who still defend the stupid free trade deals that are helping the Chinese to pay for this.
It is an act of war. Treat it accordingly.
