Working from home certainly seems to be increasing in popularity, and its not hard to see why. Not only does it mean you can stay in your pajamas, but youll also save money in gas and perhaps the best part no actual co-workers you have to pretend to like.
Dozens of companies are jumping on the stay-at-home bandwagon, like Xerox, Philips and even The Disney Store. While many of these jobs are in customer service, some are for things you probably didnt know you could do from home like teaching.
Qkids is looking for college students, teachers, stay-at-home moms and anyone who has a passion for education to work part-time (minimum six hours per week) from home. You would join thousands of other people from the U.S. and Canada who teach English to Chinese-speaking children, all from the comfort of your own home.
Each class is 30 minutes and the pay is $16-$20 an hour, meaning youll get around $8-$10 per class. You do not need to speak Chinese, but you must be fluent in English. And while you do need to have a degree or be enrolled in a university, it does not have to be in education. Finally, while you do not have to have any prior teaching experience, it is preferred.
All materials are provided and you will also get paid training. Just visit Qkids website to read more about the job or to apply, and check out the video below to see what other teachers have to say about the program.

If youre looking for more hours but still want to teach online, VIPKid is also hiring teachers to provide one-on-one English-language instruction to children ages 412 in China. The pay ranges from $14$22, but the setup is basically the same as Qkids. If youre not sure you want to apply right away, you can get more details by simply leaving your email address at the VIPKid website.
Would you consider online teaching?
Nigerian prince?
My sister teaches legal scoping, a great work at home job. I intend to do it when I retire.
Bkmrk.
Are there any stay-at-home truck driver jobs?
I've seen a couple but they state there are no truck stops available and you have to make your own coffee.......
I suppose it would be crazy to have someone teach text-addicted US kids to speak it...or for alleged journalists to be able to write English properly. Even printed English, not the more difficult cursive type ;-)
Would not consider that when Texas paying $50,000 a year for starting teachers. And why help Chinese when Americans need help?
Teaching English to the next generation of Chinese spies.
I had two MA degrees and worked at the U. of Houston as an adjunct for $10 per hour without any benefits and paying for gas, meals, etc. Counting my time for class prep and grading papers I was probably netting $5-6 per hour.
To top that, I was teaching mostly freshman classes of English, writing, business writing, and English as a Second Language to foreign students.
I was astounded at how unprepared students entering college were. c
Nearest is delivering camper vehicles...CDL required....lots of retirees do this...see USA and Canada.
Otherwise driving for UBER is a sit-down job...listen to jazz/country/talk radio all day and get paid for it...milage deductible at 53.5 cents a mile.
Spokeshave who has done both.
My daughter left a regular teaching job to do this with vip kids. She loves it. The kids are studious and respectful. The parents always watch in the background and are very supportive of their childs American teacher. My daughter even has an online relationship with several of the Mothers. I have travelled in China and the people, old and young, are very friendly to Americans. They tend to admire us and want to be like us. I dont know where all this leads but it appears to be positive.
As for the money, my daughter has two preschoolers and the time commitment works, there is no employment expenses involved, and the earnings supplement the family budget very nicely. She has a nice win situation going.
Yeah, but you don’t have to deal with school bureaucrats, state bureaucrats, DOE BS, having to actually deal with kids who don’t want to learn, etc.
Bttt.

I was contacted by these folks, but honestly, after my time teaching Japanese kids, I really don’t want to teach Chinese ones.
Hookers can work from home.
You have a,point, but pay awful and our kids need help.
Is the contact entirely in written chat format or is her contact also face to face video??
That paper has been terrible for years, publishing only press releases and happy stories about the Bloomington and Normal city governments (as they drive the twin-cities into the ground).
Champaign-Urbana, Peoria, and Decatur all have similar newspapers. They arent even good for wiping up poop.
Actually this would be a workable solution for Home Schooling.
A way that one teacher could (better) manage 20-30 students remotely.
(I figure they already have ways of handling kids who simply turn off the link to get out of their lessens - let their parent wallop them as it all can be tracked and simple concrete proof provided for punishment. Cameras both ways to negate ‘texting in class’ etc...)
Quality education (still need socialization though) while public children are learning how to put condoms on cucumbers and to hate Trump
