p.s. Steve Kane Show is probably the BEST early morning radio show on the topic of current events.
Congrats on your weight loss!
Question for you: 1,000 steps per day or 10,000? If you are walking for an hour, seems like that would be closer to 10,000 steps.
Congratulations on the weight loss! Thats tremendous! Thanks for the tip, Im checking out Crave Stop now.
That’s awesome! Congrats! I could stand to lose about 30 pds. The older ones gets...the harder. Especially with me being a female. Ugh! I look at food and gain! And I don’t eat hardly at all.
I’m curious to know if by ‘carbs’ you just mean simple carbohydrates that break down like sugar. Or all carbs, including complex carbohydrates. Because if you are eliminating complex carbs as well you aren’t doing your health any favor.
Congrats PJ! For me, the carbs are the problem. I will check out that supplement you mentioned. I need to lose about 50 lbs, and I am a short guy, and it has been quite a battle the last many years.
when I go on a cruise I don’t eat the bread at dinner...and no deserts just plain meats and vegetables...no lasagna etc
I go to the dinning room and get Eggs benedict for breakfast...poached eggs...and don’t eat the English muffins underneath...coffee and tea with skim milk no sugar and no chemical sweeteners...granola or raison bran with skim milk...I eat fruit and avoid the sugary fruit juice...
I only get a salad for lunch from the buffet...no salad dressing...no saucy items...all plain....
I avoid the pizza, soft ice cream deli sandwiches etc...I eat dinner early 6PM and don’t snack later or in-between...
drink lots of water every day...hit the gym at 6am when it opens...do lots of walking around the decks...
you can kinda manage your weight on a cruise ...
In between cruises :) I mow my own lawn with a push mower in the summer and go to the gym in the winter...I keep on the go so those horrible fat cells cant catch me...
I too am on a quest to lose weight; about 30 lbs so far. My secret method was a bit simpler but I do like the idea of a product that prohibits carb craving. I simply lowered my calorie intake to 1200 cals or less per day.
Carb craving is a lot like sugar craving. In fact the way I understand it; the body turns the carbs into sugar in order to burn it. When it finds it doesn’t need it; it turns it into stored energy (fat).
Hang in there! Wife and I are cutting down on carbs too.
In addition to limiting carbs, I VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND this video....BIG TIME!!!
Slow Jogging is the new fast! All you need to know at the beginning of your SLOW JOGGING journey explained by the Japanese running guru, Professor Hiroaki Tanaka himself.

Congrats! I will recommend in addition, you switch to morton’s lite salt, and drink about 8 glasses of water a day and it will come off even faster.

Great, in Southern Arizona there are no conservative radio shows before 6:00 am our time so I will try the Steve Kane show on Monday through IHeart although that app seems bloated and glitchy to me. My morning drive will be 8:30 to 8:55 AM his time.
My husband and I have been on a low-carb diet for over a year. Back in May I found that my blood pressure was extremely high, and my older sister passed away.
I decided to do 2 miles a day on the treadmill. Today was consecutive day #115.
My balance is good, which was a problem prior to this regimen. I’m also doing some weight-work.
Keep up the good work!
Wow...great! I’ve found when I crave carbs if I eat fat instead I am much better off.
Congrats to you! What does the Crave Stop contain?
Sometimes if I eat something fatty (like a few walnuts), seems like it will stop a sugar craving.
Congrats!!
Keto diet here (no carbs - no sugar) since late April.
217.8 at the start (down from 238.4), just now weighed in at 189.8 with t-shirt, shorts and underdrawers on before my shower.
Keep up the good work!!
You should check out OMAD on YouTube, One Meal a Day:
I first eased into just 2 meals per day by skipping breakfast, did that for about a month or so.
Then I went OMAD, eating only dinner at about 5 pm, suffered a little in the beginning but now I’ve fully adjusted.
I’m 6 ft 2 inch, but have gone from 273 to 208, still going down.
I’ll bet I can get to 190, my college weight.
Get a fitbit. I love mine. Get the expensive one too - it’s actually a great tool to actually measure not only steps, but other vitals throughout the day.
We’ll be fitbit buddies !
While weight wasn’t an issue, my overall health was. I went from 130 to 180 in a year. I’m 5’6” and my heart was showing signs of giving out. BP went from 120/80 to 240/160 in a week. I almost had a stroke.
After some stumbling I’m down to 160 but I’m not really going much farther down the scale.. instead I got a bowflex and work that thing like a cheap whore twice a day.
I’ve got abs back though, a chest and arms. I’m a mesomorph body type and I have NEVER had a physique like this. My arms went from 15 inches to 22 inches. Chest from 30 to 37. Oh, and I quit smoking.
It’s been 9 months for that result so far. I’ve been thinking of documenting my progress some way too. Maybe private youtube videos or something.
I’m very pleased for you, and I hope you enjoy improved health and many enjoyable activities for years to come.
PJ, I’ve had great luck with the alkaline diet. It cuts your sugar cravings naturally. There are lists of alkaline foods (as opposed to acid-producing foods) at many sites on the web. You have to use a certain amount of discipline, like grabbing the celery sticks when you want something to chew on, but it’s satisfying after you taper off your food addictions in the first couple of weeks.
