Chalet Reports has just been subjected to the most hypocritical, two-faced, bigoted, and abusive censorship that I have had the displeasure of witnessing in my many years as an editor. I normally don’t get directly involved in creating material for Chalet Reports because of my own traffic load in preparation of books for publication by Chalet Books, but this egregious abuse of the First Amendment by a forum that claims to be a champion of free speech is more than any rational human being who cares about freedom of expression can stand by silently and watch.
David Reznor is among the most careful, deliberative, and conscientious researchers I’ve ever had the honor to work with. He is meticulous and dogged in checking, side-checking, and double-checking facts. He does much of his work for Chalet Reports on a volunteer basis, motivated by a sense of duty and civic obligation, to help us get honest and well-researched information out to the public, entirely free of charge, for the public good. That’s why we created Chalet Reports, as one small effort to combat the toxic flood of fake “news” and false information being visited on the world by the “mainstream media.”
As a matter of his own personal interests, he joined the Reddit subforum called r/The_Donald, which has the ironic subtitle of “America First.” It’s certainly ironic in light of what one of their “moderators” just did to this man. David periodically shared there links to articles at Chalet Reports that he felt would be of interest and benefit to others who read that forum.
For doing nothing but that—posting a link to one of our investigative reports about former director of the Defense Intelligence Agency Michael Flynn—David Reznor was PERMANENTLY BANNED from r/The_Donald.

The moderators there are not considered to be pro-Trump, and have banned, or shadow-banned, other pro-Trump posters.

I frequent The Donald as well. Flynn is a hard case. I think majority opinion is that an attack on Flynn is an attach on Trump. The Chalet is putting forward a minority opinion which is that Flynn played a role in framing Trump. Given that Trump himself has repeatedly put forward the former theory, I can see why The Donald moderators might take an attack on him as being an attack on Trump, which is of course a bannable offense at The Donald.
They’re usually enjoying fondue.
I’m also on T_D frequently, and I’m not really surprised by this. The 1st Amendment doesn’t apply on Reddit (on any sub) — if you doubt this, try to be pro-Trump on r/[redacted] (the left-leaning ‘politics’ subreddit whose name must never be mentioned on T_D, for fear of Reddit’s site mods accusing them of brigading).
Some interesting things I noticed:
- the article you linked is also from Chalet Books, the same website as the site that earned the ban from T_D.
- The article that earned the ban is simply a timeline... but it really doesn’t offer “proof”. The little bit of supposed proof from a handful of MSM articles is there is more “muh Russia” than anything with the scent of real news.
- The Chalet Books website isn’t about news, it’s about hocking books. It’s really that simple.
- Every link YOU have posted here on FR is also from Chalet Books... which makes me wonder what your connection is to them.
Is there a legitimate corroborating source for this claim about Flynn? I’d be interested to know if there is.
Without having more information to judge otherwise, it seems the T_D mods were right to use the banhammer.

I find it quite informative sometimes. All depends on what you’re interested in. Lots of stupid, useless stuff but also lots of helpful stuff.
If nothing else, it’s good for a laugh now and then, such as this:

For those who are unfamiliar - “brigading” means basically gang-attacking a user (or a small group of users) in an ongoing, sustained manner. Also is used to refer to pitting one sub-Reddit group against another in an attempt to manipulate it, e.g. with lots of postings.
Sowing discord and concern trolling are explicitly banned on T_D. T_D is a forum for supporting Trump, not a bastion of free speech. Support GEOTUS or hit the bricks.
Obviously, they felt your article was breaking their rules. I can see why, but I can also see why you might want to take it up with them and see if you can work it out. One thing’s for sure: Whatever the heck you’re doing here sure ain’t the way to handle it.
Seems like T_D is not the first place that there has been controversy surrounding posts from this business, see the forum thread linked below. The article above is heavily linked back to their own domain and publications, and heavy with emotional outbursts. A cursory search of the author’s name on the article doesn’t turn up any actual people. The poster’s name here is also a town in Texas, but not finding much more than that. I am going to concur with your conclusion.

I’ve also said about as many times: I POST HERE ITEMS FROM THEM THAT I DON’T SEE COVERED ANYWHERE ELSE IN THE WORLD, OR ANYWHERE NEAR AS EFFECTIVELY, IN MY OPINION.
I wish to GOD you, or anybody else carping and whining about posts from that site would actually ADDRESS EVEN ONE OF THE ****FACTS**** PRESENTED, or post EVEN ONE SINGLE SITE THAT HAS ANYWHERE NEAR AS DETAILED AND ACCURATE A TIMELINE OF 2016 EVENTS AS IS IN THAT SERIES ON JOHN BRENNAN AND CO.
You won’t, because you can’t, because it doesn’t exist. I have found MASSIVE wrong dates and wrong information at EVERY OTHER SITE PURPORTING TO HAVE A “TIMELINE”. I’ve been to them all.
I’m not answering any more of this ad hominem crap, either about me, or about that site. I’m not their PR rep. If you have a problem with that site, TAKE IT UP WITH ****THEM**** AND ****NOT**** WITH ME.
