A clinical trial called Ambrosia seeks to discover the long-sought Fountain of Youth and some scientists believe theyve found it in the blood of young people.
Unlike most clinical trials, people actually paid to participate instead of the other way around. Patients over the age of 35 ponied up $8000 to take part in the experiment where they get transfusions of young blood, run by Dr. Jesse Karmazin. People are getting transfusions of young blood to slow aging.
Unsurprisingly, the business experiment is taking place in Monterrey, California, right on the edge of Silicon Valley.
. . . And Ambrosia isnt the only vampiristic game around.
Ambrosia has some competition on the East Coast. A society gala in West Palm Beach, Florida took place last year to scare a bunch of 60-somethings into dropping some cash to take part an another experiment run by Dr. Dipnarine Maharaj. And by some cash, I mean up to $285,000 apiece.

Some quotes from the article, which is extremely informative to read, from the health aspect, as well as the financial and moral:
“Its as interesting as it is creepy. Who wouldnt donate some of their blood to help out a beloved relative who was fading away from Alzheimers?
What could possibly go wrong?
This is a question I ask entirely too much when writing articles about new technology lately. It seems that our progress may be outstripping our ethics in many cases. Some of the things I see going wrong?
Young people could basically turn into walking blood bags for rich old people who want to live forever.
We dont know if there are any long-term issues with frequent transfusions.
New diseases that arent yet tested for could be present in the blood of donors.
You can have allergic reactions to blood transfusions, even if they are the right type. These reactions can be as minor as some hives or as serious as death from anaphylactic shock.
You can have an acute immune hemolytic reaction, which means your body attacks the red blood cells as the enemy. This can result in chest pain, nausea, chills, fever, and lower back pain.
Infections can occur at the site of the transfusion.
Transfusion-related acute lung injury is a rare, but potentially fatal response to a transfusion. It starts out with a fever and low blood pressure and can permanently damage your lungs.
HIV, Hepatitis B and C, West Nile Virus, and Zika can all be passed through a blood transfusion. Although the blood is screened, there is still a slim possibility of something being missed.
The idea of living forever has been around well forever. And so far, it has been but a dream. But it seems like lately interest is sparking up again.
The advances of science are incredible in many ways. The ethics of this seem to be a line that moves wherever the scientists want it to go. And if you think overpopulation and shortages of resources are issues now, imagine if we disturbed the natural order of things by extending life for decades longer.” . . .
The Jehovahs Whitness lady at the front door was finally able to get me into her church. A Wikipedia search informed me they don’t believe in blood transfusions.
So there is hope for Nutzy Pelosi?
This is true, the Jehovah’s Witnesses do not believe in the use of blood transfusions. They also do not believe that Jesus Christ is God.
Another type of Nigerian Scam !!
how does a blood transfusion for someone with Alzheimer’s help that person?
As long as one is alive, there is hope.
But you do not specify.
Hope for what? Salvation? A long life? Happiness? Peace of mind? . . .
I do not see evidence of any of these in her immediate future, unless she makes some turnaround decisions.
Or is it adrenachrome theyre selling?
The newest form of human slavery. Using body parts, blood, etc of the young... so that’s what Planned Parenthood has been up to. Apparently, it’s a moneyed market!
Exactly.
I looked at both threads, and I didn’t see in this one or the other something that crossed my mind as I was reading the article.
Disappearances of young people...are runaways or abducted young people being used to supply the blood? I can just imagine an unscrupulous doctor using kids held against their will to supply some rich (and also unscrupulous) patient with blood.
Even if the possibility of criminal activity isn’t involved, this creeps me out to no end. Mankind, as he is want to do, is stepping into the realm of things he shouldn’t.

If so, this business would be an excellent cover business, would it not?
There is apparently a great deal of money in the practice of human sacrifice.
WOW. Im in. If it keeps me from feeling like Ive been rode hard for 70 years, I want in. So what if a few healthy 20 year old (triple checked for diseases) sell a pint of their blood for a goodly sum its win win. if its real.
Agreed.
I do not wish to cause distress, but if one begins to look up Satanism, Child Sacrifice, Vampirism, Witchcraft and Child Satanic Ritual Abuse, one finds some truly horrific answers.
The practices of Moloch still abound.
Here on FR a couple weeks ago I read that older folks can get youthful benefits by donating their own blood. According to what I read, losing blood triggers the body to replenish new blood, which is healthier, fresher, etc.
Hm. Well, if one reads the article closely, it becomes apparent that the practice requires much more than one pint. . .
If this were for real, why not just transplant some marrow from young to old, and have “young blood” continuously?
I guess that way there wouldn’t be a market for all that fetal blood from abortions...

Yes, I have read this in the past, as well. I have not pursued this, and so have no comment upon it. It occurs to me that it would be a good idea to revisit the research, particularly while commenting upon the subject of blood.
