The trouble with too many fast-food restaurants is that they're often so close together.
It's like car dealers who line up in auto malls, waiting for customers to greet each brand in turn, as if it's a wedding line.
With the fast-food joints, rivals can see what the competition is doing by just looking out of the window. Which makes me wonder what the staff at McDonald's are going to be thinking next year.
You see, one of McDonald's peskier rivals -- Wendy's -- just announced that it's going to start doing something that may seem a touch obvious.
It's going to start offering breakfast at all of its 5,900 U.S. restaurants.
Wendy's describes this as "an incredible growth opportunity."

Well, Wendy’s can’t do anything else worth a crap why not screw up breakfast too?
Hardees is the spot to be in rural NC breakfast scene.
I have felt for a long time that Wendy’s could significantly cut into the Egg McMuffin crowd. Wendy’s has superior products over MickeyDs. Wendy’s just reintroduced Spicy Chicken Nuggets and they are good and nutritious. ($3.10 for 10)
Wendy’s - bacon, cheese potato- three of life basic food groups- hard to do badly :)
All hail Wendy’s! My favorite square burgers on the planet!!
Well, Wendys cant do anything else worth a crap why not screw up breakfast too?

IMHO Wendys burgers have always been superior to those of McDonalds and Burger King. Ill try their breakfast sandwiches when they become available.
I worked for them as a teenager in Ames, Iowa. Back then we had fried chicken and roast beef in addition to the regular menu. Very busy before and after ISU football games.
Bojangles.
A McDonald’s medium hot coffee with a sausage biscuit is hard to beat for under 3.00 $
The ther fast food places know how much $$ & research McDonald’s expends to find the optimal locations. That’s why there’s always a McDonald’s in the mix at those locations.
Same here man. Wendy’s is alright...except for the $1 Chili. If you dont want an alien bursting out of your rib cage after eating, avoid it.
I’ll give it a try.
Arby’s has a very nice senior discount if you qualify.
None of those are any good. Especially Burger King, which sucks balls. I've never gotten a decent burger at Wendy's. I gave up on them a long time ago.
In this area Hardees is the top chain for breakfast.
A Bunch of my old high school classmates eats there every morning and talks about old times. They are all over 70.
Competition is good. The market, not FReepers will be the judge.
Walked out of one Wendy’s due to septic atmosphere. Open vat of catsup complete with dead flies. Swore I would never go back into that chain again. Fast forward a couple of years, different state, had no choice but to eat at a Wendy’s. I spend the rest of the night glued to the crapper. It was New Years, I was driving a cab at the time. Big Loss. Haven’t been back to one of those pestholes since.
Wendy’s hiring 20,000, Amazon has 30,000 open positions, pretty soon we’re talking about a lot of jobs.
