Having just crippled the U.S. Pacific Fleet at Pearl Harbor, the Japanese attack several other locations in the Pacific. Also, Japanese bombers sink Britain's battleship HMS Prince of Wales and battlecruiser HMS Repulse in the South China Sea.

As the war progressed, new ships began to have more and more anti aircraft guns. Older ships when refitted also had them added.
Still in the end they were vulnerable to air attack.

“Those must have been dark and scary days...”
Yes, very scary in many ways. My Dad who went on to serve in CBI Theater of War was at his best friend’s house the night of Pearl Harbor. She said “The war should be over by the time you boys are old enough to serve”. Three years later, her only son, my Dad’s friend and Marine to be, was killed on one of the Pacific islands.
Noticed the ad for a NEW 1942 Studebaker. Price was $810.
$810? To much for a Study unless it was a pickup.

What is the name of the channel?
I can’t wrap my mind around the level of lunacy it took to declare war on United Kingdom, Soviet Union, and the United States at the same time. Meanwhile, you’re devoting tons of resources to exterminate entire ethnic groups and also developing impressive but strategically worthless weapons like the V-1 and V-2 rockets.
Thank goodness the UK is on our side. I sure wouldn’t want to fight them.
It’s called World War Two. The latest is from last weekend:

Of course they cover things you know about, but they also cover Japan in China, Italy in Greece, etc. Very well done.
The same guy, different group, did WWI week by week 100 years later, which of course ended in Nov. 2018.
I have been absent from the UK for sixty years. I am told things have drastically changed in the make up of the population. Who knows?

Thank you.
I’m sad to say you wouldn’t recognize England. My parents would not recognize the United States.
Well, here it is. And for no more than I got my copy at St Vinnies.
