I’d rather see Odungo publicly charged with his many crimes, and then either hanged or chopped into little pieces and then fed to pigs.
Nonsense. They would claim Trump’s pardon was a hoped for quid pro quo. It absolutely would not preclude Trump brought up on charge of sedition after office.
These are not honorable people. Treating them with respect is weakness. They are not worthy of respect.
Only by throwing the book at Obama will the next charlatan tuck and run.
The embarrassment quotient to BO and JB, of having been pardoned by DJT, would be in the gigaton range.
Indictment, trial, sentencing. Then begin talk of a pardon.
I never said they were. In fact, I said I didn't like it. But it would imply there are crimes to be pardoned for and all America would know it.
So you tell me, how do you see, in this America right now, how dragging off "Americas first black President" in cuffs has any good outcome on the road to MAGA? Because, much as I want to see that, for sedition, I see a whole lot of downside to that path.
I agree. Noone will ever convict Obama or Biden of any crime—no matter what the evidence no matter what the crime—in front of a Washington DC jury. Even worse, a prosecution would make Obama a martyr and an acquittal would make him a victorious hero. The best scenario would be for Trump to be reelected, pardon Obama and Biden, and then go after all the underlings from Rice on down with vigorous prosecution and vicious sentences. That cleans out much of the Deep State but leaves CNN without Obama or Biden to whine about.
Considering DC went 94% for HRC in 2016, what do you think the odds of an indictment, let alone conviction would be for "Americas first black President there? Did you pay attention to the Roger Stone trial?
Thanks for some clear thinking.
Might as well pardon everybody who participated in the Kenyanesian Usurpation, which is just about everybody in DC except President Trump.
BOTH parties conspire to violate the Constitution.
THAT’S why they can’t do anything about the crimes committed.
Prosecute the underlings first. After a couple of years of that, when the public has finally been informed of what went on, then pardon 0bungles and Biteme.
Doing it sooner is a trap.
“Prosecute the underlings first. After a couple of years of that, when the public has finally been informed of what went on, then pardon 0bungles and Biteme.”
I suspect the public effect of prosecuting the underlings will be underwhelming. The public was tired of the prosecution of Trump and then the impeachment. The underlings will seem like more of the same.
But they need to go to jail as a warning to their class — “you are not invulnerable so next time you think about defrauding and tearing your nation apart with lies, think hard and long because you can do 20 years.” So they should be prosecuted matter of fact-ly and not as political theater. The public is very tired of political theater.
I’m not in any way suggesting it should be political theater.
All I am saying is that pardoning 0bunghole and JoeyFingers first would be a mistake.
I think that’s why this was first brought up by an MSM reporter at a WH press conference.
The downside you imagine is based on the crooks regaining power. Draining the swamp and cleaning up government means holding every official accountable, especially corrupt leaders.
In truth if Democrats as they are currently constituted regain the WH Trump will be the first hide they nail to the barn.
If we are going to clean up the mess we must hold the messers accountable. We do not have Royalty in this country and should not act as if we do.
I want them held accountable as much as you do. I have no idea where you got any other idea from my post. The downside I see is the negative media and potential for another impeachment proceeding if Trump pardons 0butthole and Joe Burisma before public sentiment is properly raised to back that move.
