They did not do their Constitutional duty - they abdicated it.
Was the Boston Tea Party patriotic?
It’s as American as burning a Wendy’s or Caning Preston Brooks.
To “storm” something, you have to be armed.
“a critical Constitutional duty”
The Constitution? LOL
Any step taken against crimes against this country is Patriotism.
Apparently, this guy hasn’t heard of the Puerto Rican attack on the House of Representatives in 1954 or the bombing of the Capitol building in 1971. To so many of these big mouth clowns, history started just a few years ago. It’s also interesting to note that Carter released the PR attackers in 1978 and 1979, and many of the Weather Underground who bombed the Capital ended up as Media-Dem Party flacks, with 0bama starting his political career under the tuteledge of Bill Ayers who bosted he was “guilty as Hell but free as a bird” and wished he had performed more bombings.
Storming the U.S. Capitol without rifles is called sightseeing.
I find it interesting that the politicians cry “riot” and “insurection” when UNARMED citizens overwhelm the police and gain entrance to the capital.
To those politicians who got their panties in a knot, I remind you that that was just a group of UNARMED citizens frustated that Congress is not doing their constitutional duties and taking away the rights of citizens.
Now imagine a scenario of ARMED citizens.
Politicians should fear the People, not the otherway round.
The hypocrisy is really getting personal now.
The right is full of quislings . The left doesn’t give a crap they will destroy weak.
I see you and this article have received a lot of criticism. Personally, I thank you for posting the article.
Dan; thank you for your service.
What exactly did you learn in Afghanistan that makes you an expert on patriotism?
Did you have to pass a patriotism exam to get on the plane? Either way?
Let your words and reasoning convince us.
Wednesday was a glorious victory for the citizens of The United States. The political class failed to do their jobs and ran away like scared chickens!
Now, their apologists are out trying to cover for them.
Would you have run away?
Not patriotism because they didn’t steal, loot, assault police, damage private or public property...?
You have a FAULTY PREMISE..what about the Antifa plants did you not research...
In the military its calleD AFTER ACTION REPORT
I tend to agree with this guy, that’s because I am pretty sure that the ones who stormed were actually relatively few, and that they were instigated by Antifa or other anarchist type groups. Other conservative rally’s never ended up in Chaos like this one, this was was generated by the other side, its a shame they fell for it.
If you are going to break the law, cool. Do it. But do it smartly with a specific achievable objective. Recognize the risks and potential consequences: THINK.
Instead of bum-rushing guards that are trained and paid to protect principals. You are going to end up DEAD and pitied. No one rushing up those stairs were thinking.
But stop this BS about comparing the Boston Tea Party (a peaceful non-threatening protest away from a secure facility), the events of 19 April 1775 (the first day of our Revolution when the red line was crossed), to the ill-conceived stupid acts of breaking into Capitol Hill that would not have solved anything.
If you need to give up your life for the Republic......do it smartly and make it count.
Sorry when people have had enough they will revolt.
We admired Bastille Day, we admired the Yellow Vests in France recently, but somehow doing this America is Unpatriotic, so Revolutionary War was wrong then.
