Democrat state senators in Oregon have introduced legislation to pay black Oregonians $123,000 in reparations.
The bill would have the Department of Revenue establish a reparations payment program to residents “who can demonstrate heritage in slavery” and have identified as “African-American” for at least ten years.
The Daily Wire reports that “according to a copy of the state Senate bill, the government will pay six figures to any person who can demonstrate that they are a descendant of American slaves and have “identified as African-American” on legal documents.”
In order to qualify for the reparations, a person must live state for at least two years before the application deadline of Dec. 31, 2022.

If it’s $123,000 in total, what the hey. Unfortunately, that won’t be the case. :(
If that passes people will move to Oregon.
They got a lot of land in Oregon. Why not build a lot of homes and give them away?

They are doing everything possible to incite a race war. If the people are dumb enough to allow it, let’s get on with it.
Do descendants of indentured servants count?
How about everyone who gets a check has to move to Africa and never come back?
Is that per week or per month?
8 generations, 3 kids per generation = 3 to the eight power or 6500 grandchildren x 123,000 = $800 million per slave?
So, is the equivalent to 40 acres at $3,000 per acre and $3,000 for a mule?
I picked a good week to open a new liquor store on MLK Boulevard.
What about descendants of African-American owners of white slaves?

Hoo boy, there’s going to be a mass migration. Let us know how that works out for you, Oregon.
That’s crazy for so many reasons.
A. What about other minorities or ethnicities who have experienced discrimination? All races have experienced discrimination at one time or another. It’s not fair to the Irish, Italians, Asians and Hispanics, just to name a few.
B. I would think very few black families have actual records of a family link to slavery. There is a blanket assumption that most do, but who can really prove it?
Will it be paid only by those who are descendants of slaves?
Will be the day I stop paying taxes...
Like with Covid-19 checks, there must be some upper limit on current income or wealth. It would be unseemly for Oprah to get a reparations check.
It’s obvious to me that this is designed to morph into a never-ending payment to each and every person who has dark skin. That will be the final, definitive, unreversable end of this country.
