MLB to Fix Gender Diversity Deficit [semi-satire]
Semi-News/Semi-Satire ^ | 11 April 2021 | John Semmens

Posted on 04/09/2021 11:25:13 PM PDT by John Semmens

Fresh from deciding to punish the majority black city of Atlanta, Georgia for its State Legislature's election reform law, Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred announced "it has been brought to my attention that we do not have gender equality among our players. I looked over the rosters of all our teams and noted that there isn't a single woman or transgender individual to be found. I was shocked. Half the population of this country is female. We need to field teams that look like America. We've made great progress on the racial front. Blacks, Latinos, and Asians can be found all around the league. Now it's time we fix the gender problem."

"Today, I am instructing my staff to create a plan for achieving gender equality by the year 2030," Manfred bragged. "I know there will be some who say that females can't play this sport at a high enough level to warrant being on any team. Let me point out, though, that many recreational leagues have softball teams that are 50% female. If we need to modify some rules to get this fix done, so be it."

Manfred suggested that "one thing we can do right away to increase the proportion of females in our league is to encourage as many as we can to declare themselves females trapped in male bodies. In this regard, high school athletic programs have already seen impressive results from incorporating males who identify as females into their teams. Surely we can outdo these amateurs."

In related news, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla) asked Manfred "if Georgia has to lose the All-Star game because its election laws are racist, why haven't you resigned from Georgia's Augusta National Golf Club?" Manfred's reply was "why should I be pushed into a meaningless bit of self-sacrifice by a politician I don't respect?"

I for one am simply furious that they are again overlooking the elderly cripple community. I’d be glad to play any position for league minimum.

Future generations, not blinded by the 21st century zeitgeist, will laugh in incredulity at the 21st century fools who were blinded by them.

Although the absurdity of such things as not knowing which bathroom to use may be lost on those trapped in the 21st century zeitgeist, it will not be lost on future generations whose vision is not so clouded.

So the Cleveland Indians could stock up on large poor women and call themselves the Cleveland Ghettopottamuses. Just make sure none of the stadiums they play in are close to a Walmart or Waffle House.

So why has MLB been so reluctant to provide women with equality on the playing field?

Maybe it is time for half the male honchos in the MLB organization to be replaced by women of some sort.

I never hear folks complain about a lack of racial diversity on basketball or football teams:

I never hear feminists complain about a lack of female plumbers.

In fact, I never hear feminists complain about a lack of female school janitors, fishermen, garbagemen...

It’s all a big joke where idiots with their academic/theoretical and ideological based world view (egalitarianism), and those that want to self victimize in order to get something for free or have an extra benefit afforded to them are pushing this nonsense. Of course they only push it for those occupations that have prestige and pay well, because you don’t see these groups demanding equality in employment in a slaughterhouse, mining, portable toilet cleaners (the guys that empty out the porta toilets - almost all men), sewer cleaners (that exists), pest control, logger/lumberjack...

And of course you never hear them complain or demand equality where they have an advantage, i.e. more women are school teachers (decent job), do you hear about initiatives and quota’s to ensure more men get hired?

Thanks, John, for another fine news column.

(Is there some satire in there somewhere, or was this a test?)

We live in a world where you have special people, and they have been taught they are special. Just ask any cop working traffic “honestly” about the attitude of some people. They feel empowered, entitled, and they have been taught since childhood that they are a victim.

You have special kids in school, with $1,200 phones, a car in their household, fat, with Internet, health care, cloths, air conditioning and heating, getting public education (also with a special emphasis on equality) thinking they are somehow underprivileged already. Heck, even their schools basically teaches them that!

They are convinced of this even as they get quota's in all federal employment, special scholarships only for their class, loans they really should not qualify for based on a risk assessment, colleges and universities quota's, every large employer in this country is thinking about the EEOC, the media touches them with soft cotton fluffy gloves making them out as victims even as they are distributing counterfeit money, are drugged up, resist arrest aggressively, escape from a police car, and then die accidentally (unfortunate) as a police officer uses an authorized technique to restrain them.

*** (simple and real world example) I have a son and a daughter. I love them both of course. But there is no doubt, my daughter if she met the mere minimum standards, she would be a shoe in for many jobs both in the private and government sector because it's simply not as competitive as it is for my son. But my son will have to hear how he's “privileged.”

The entire issue of gender and race is no more than two things: 1) Politicians pandering to these groups (it's a democracy). 2) These groups demanding evermore in terms of special entitlements.

We have come to a point where the President of the US talks about “science,” “science,” “science,” but we push the Covid vaccine (in a national effort) to minority groups ahead of high risk groups such as elderly folks in the name of diversity/equality!

Seriously, why won’t MLB talent scouts follow any girl’s HS softball teams? And how about the NBA, for all their wokeness they should merge with the WNBA, like in 1975 when they merged what was left of the old ABA, Nets, Spurs, Pacers and Nuggets, and traded Dr. J Julius Ervin to the Knicks from the Kentucky Colonels. (Why the Colonels folded is one of the great mysteries in sports history, they were a good strong team.)

I notice there is also a tremendous disparity among those in prisons. Male inmates outnumber females around 9 to 1. America needs to get past its sexist reflexes and get behind a movement to incarcerate seven times the number of women currently imprisoned.
