China is neither a western country nor a muslim country. It is a different place than most understand it to be. Marriageable women in China is not determined by shooting the husband. If the families do not approve of the woman, it does not happen. Women over 30 are not marriageable in Mainland China.

And apparently you know even less about what the CCP can and cannot do - sending millions of people at some border is not doable - they could not even do that during the Korean War.
China is probably worried about a political collapse in North Korea, followed by a flood of unwanted refugees.
China’s getting ready to screw half the countries and central banks in the world when they refuse to payout for Evergrande’s default. They are likely preparing to repel numerous pizzed off countries coming to forcibly take assets.

And Chinese parents are getting pretty desperate to find MARRIAGEABLE women for their sons. Arranged marriages have been going on for centuries, nothing new.
Marriageable women = under 30, slender, Han Chinese, with dowry commensurate with Mainland Chinese family’s station, approved by both families. ‘Left Over Women’ need not apply.
Winter and spring campaigns are logical in places where the roads are mud in warm seasons.
