America had a hearty laugh mixed with mild horror this week when it learned that the Biden Administration is planning to distribute free crack pipes to drug addicts for the sake of “racial equity.”
The $30 million grant program, which closed applications Monday and will begin in May, will provide funds to nonprofits and local governments to help make drug use safer for addicts. Included in the grant … are funds for “smoking kits/supplies.” A spokesman for the agency told the Washington Free Beacon that these kits will provide pipes for users to smoke crack cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, and “any illicit substance.” … Applicants for the grants are prioritized if they treat a majority of “underserved communities,” including African Americans and “LGBTQ+ persons,” as established under President Joe Biden’s executive order on “advancing racial equity.” [Washington Free Beacon]
We had another chuckle when the propaganda press tried to “fact check” the completely true claim as “mostly false.”

It is simply marketing, like woke Super Bowl halftime shows; they are trying to reach these groups to bring them in as customers/consumers. If they can’t pay themselves, the medical facilities will be paid via wealth transfers from us - but they have to get them in the door.

Much of TV now is geared towards the last demographics that even watch; I previously thought it was a slight but now realize it is the highest compliment to white, Hispanic, and Asian men.
They probably based it on marketing research that blacks are more gullible and can be influenced by advertising than others.

If you can travel and don’t have emergency conditions, save your money and travel to India for medical care. Chennai especially. Top doctors and awesome facilities. For the cost of two months of crap obamacare subsidies you bought your ticket and a years saving from the premiums you can get top quality surgery and still come out ahead. (Hernia in my case. Knee repair, Carpal tunnel. Stuff like that.) Cash capitalism is awesome.

Down here on The Jersey Shore their idea of a hard roll is a hamburger bun.
The physicians and surgeons who treated members of Saudi royalty (yes,they would come to us) were the same physicians and surgeons who treated the people living in the many public housing blocks located nearby.
I've worked in the housekeeping departments of two other hospitals years ago in the ER.
Today I work in a third ER in a hospital in southern NJ supervising a small crew keeping clean and sanitized a very busy, large and at the same time compartmentalized ER that is in a largely middle to lower middle class area.
It's also in an area with a county jail nearby so we get criminals bought in and the area is also on the outskirts of the NJ Pine Barrens with a large homeless population camping out in the woods.
We get those folks in a lot and they're a whole different species.
Visit India. The caste system, though outlawed, is still very much in play. There are dedicated hospitals for those who enjoy capitalistic medical care, Hence my recommending Chennai.
