I never used the word “RuZZians”. Nor did I make the claim that there was no other way to blow it up.

I just told you the most likely scenario for how it was done based on known facts.

Your attack is duly noted and expected - contributing, nothing per usual.

ORYX seems to be way behind on losses

They are likely behind because everyone was asked to be silent until the main offensive begins.

Sorry that I could effectively use 80 year old technology and tactics to disprove your argument.

It might be possible that the Russians tried to release a lot of water to hamper Ukrainian crossings, but then a magnetic mine got sucked into an intake, and did not detonate until it was inside near metal components, causing unintended secondary detonation of the main charges that the Russians had emplaced inside.

I do not propose that they be given the benefit of the doubt. Russia planted the charges, the mines, and manipulated the water levels and flows. They must be held accountable. Otherwise, there is no deterrent against them blowing the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZPNN).

It seems more likely to have been a deliberate demolition by the Russian chain of command, in which case they are all the more likely to continue that scorched earth strategy with ZPNN, as they are forced to withdraw.

"The first piece of Poland’s new HOMAR-K MLRS system was presented today in South Korea.

“The Polish HIMARS” consists of the South Korean K239 Chunmoo being combined with the Polish Jelcz chassis. Poland is buying 288 of these and another 500 HIMARS from USA."

Many Billions of dollars of reparations are due from Russia for blowing that dam, but the mountains of cruelly imposed suffering of innocents will never be erased.

These will reliably kill any Russian tank in existence, with added reactive armor or not. They can defeat frontal armor, and kill at even relatively sharp angles to the surface being penetrated.

@visegrad24 7h

"Ukraine has received 120mm DM631 APFSDS (Deutsches Modell 631 Armor Piecing Fin Stabilized Discarding Sabot) ammunition for its Leo tanks.

It’s penetration according to Willi Odermatt Formula is 355mm at 2km at 60 degrees. The best ammunition Ukraine had until now could penetrate 230mm

Game changer in killing Russian tanks."

Russia is not evacuating people on terrains it temporarily occupies. The water is still rising and many have been stuck in the roofs of their homes since yesterday.

The scale of this Russian terror attack is enormous.

“Ukraine is ready for a counteroffensive, but the struggle will be long-lasting” - Mark Milley in an interview with the Associated Press

“There will be days when you see a lot of activity, and there will be days where there will be very little activity. There will be offensive actions and defensive actions. So it will be a two-way battle for a long time,” he noted.

A quarter of Ukraine’s annual agricultural production is at risk, due to the loss of irrigation water from the Kakhovka Reservoir.

@igorlachenkov 53 min

“The undermining of the Kakhovska HPP dam is not only one of the biggest ecological and humanitarian disasters in the east of Europe that led to the flooding of vast territories and many settlements, but is in fact the biggest crime against food security in the world.

The Kakhov reservoir was the heart of one of the largest irrigation systems in Europe. It was the southern regions of Ukraine that supplied the countries of the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Europe with wheat, corn, sunflower and sunflower oil, soybeans and soybean meal.

We call on everyone who cares about the fate of our planet and the environment, who declares their status as environmentalists and defines nature protection activities as their goals — to take all possible measures in order to record these violations, bring the culprits to justice, and make it impossible to commit such barbarism in the future.”

Peak China

“China’s Share of U.S. Goods Imports Falls to Lowest Since 2006”

“Americans imported more goods from abroad in April while becoming less reliant on products from China, another sign of strong U.S. economic momentum this spring.

The share of goods shipments the U.S. receives from China has declined to the lowest level since 2006. In recent years, imports from other countries in Asia have grown to meet the healthy demand for foreign products.”

...

“China’s share of trade with the U.S. dipped again, continuing a downward trend. China accounted for 15.4% of U.S. goods imports for the 12 months ended April, the smallest share since October 2006.

U.S. companies have been looking for alternatives to Chinese manufacturers in recent years. Amid geopolitical tensions between the two world powers, the Trump administration imposed tariffs on thousands of goods from China, which the Biden administration has continued.

“The U.S. is seeking to diversify trade channels,” said Lawrence Werther, chief U.S. economist at Daiwa Capital Markets America. “The relationship has turned more adversarial in the last few years.””

“Israel accuses Russia of destroying the Kakhovska hydroelectric power station

“According to our estimates, it was Russia that blew up the dam,” - Foreign Minister Eli Cohen said...

It all indicates to me an eventual total withdraw including Crimea.

It ‘s a deliberate scorched earth policy. HIMARS, Storm Shadow and other systems mean the Russians know the end game there. They are taking huge losses in logistics. Not sustainable in months possibly weeks.
