President Trump stopped at the Glock store in South Carolina before speaking at his sold-out event in Summerville and bought a gun as excited workers showed him around and took photos with the President.
This is how you do retail politics.

The gun store’s owners told President Trump, “Since you’ve left, the Biden Administration has been terrible for this industry!”

South Carolina is on the other side of Georgia from Florida.
As a resident of Florida, how did he buy a handgun in South Carolina? Wouldn’t he have had to go through a FFL in Florida?

He presumably had an FFL holder among his personal staff or Secret Service detail. From the Gun Control Act of 1968:
a) It shall be unlawful—
(1)for any person—
(A) except a licensed importer, licensed manufacturer, or licensed dealer, to engage in the business of importing, manufacturing, or dealing in firearms, or in the course of such business to ship, transport, or receive any firearm in interstate or foreign commerce
It would have been more appropriate that this Trump signature Glock was a .45 instead of 9mm for obvious reasons.
They will now redouble their efforts to make at least one felony stick, so they can then try to get him on felon in possesion.

A representative from Palmetto State Armory in Summerville, South Carolina, told HuffPost that Trump visited the store on Monday but didn’t buy anything.
Federal law prohibits several categories of people from buying or owning guns, including people who use marijuana or any other federally criminalized drug, people who have been convicted of a felony, and people who have merely been charged with a felony.
