I live near an NAS and yesterday I saw (or initially heard) one flight after another heading out over us. The sky was full of contrails, and all of my neighbors were out looking up.

I think it may have been removed (because I can’t find it) but I think there was a thread here in the past few days of a US helicopter “accidentally crashing” in Gaza or thereabouts. People here drew a parallel to Operation Eagle Claw in 1980 which was a hostage rescue attempt that didn’t go well. But this recent event (if it happened) seems to have been disappeared.
