There is a little known, and less understood, mental affliction, which I will call transfixion. It is to the mind what setting is to concrete. When freshly mixed with water, concrete is malleable. Once it sets, however, it hardens irreversibly and can no longer be reshaped, or corrected, unless it is cut or broken. The transfixed mind is like that.
Before you go leafing through your DSM (psychiatry’s diagnostic manual), don’t bother; transfixion is not there. It is, however, very real. One can observe it when attempting to reason with any committed leftist. The condition is common and has been on display for months in some videotaped Q-and-A sessions with people such as Ben Shapiro at a few college events.
Essentially, the symptoms of mental transfixion include complete immunity to reason and an absolute refusal to acknowledge facts, no matter how obvious, no matter how clearly explained. The transfixed mind begins with its desired conclusion, adds a strong dose of violent emotion mixed with loudly chanted slogans, and then works toward that irrational conclusion with the tenacity of a bulldog.
Examples of this disease include the persistence of claims by the left that the American economy is doing great, despite the financial hardships being suffered by low-income working-class households. It includes the denial that violent crime in cities governed by Democrats far exceeds that of other cities. Leftists are now even denying that Hamas committed any atrocities on October 7, claiming that the horrific films recorded by the terrorists themselves are forgeries produced by artificial intelligence technology. Perhaps most foolishly, they deny that Islamists publicly murder homosexuals in Gaza and in Islamic-dominated countries — in none of which can they identify even one openly gay couple. I've had a few encounters with people like this. Once they're "locked in", nothing sort of major trama can break it. And yes, you can actually show this person to their face the reality and they will deny it. Its fascinating and very disturbing at the same time.

Liberalism is a mental disorder. Civil discussions used to be possible with liberals but now a conservative, no matter ho reasonable and logical, is likely to be shouted down by a mob of self-righteous leftists chanting Marxist slogans.
I believe that Bill Maher, while still a liberal, bemoans the fact that the liberal movement has been taken over by such transfixed leftists whom there is no reasoning with.

For those that didn’t read the whole article, the author said that entire countries during WW2 that had been taken in and had their minds transfixed by their leaders basically had to be DESTROYED and SHATTERED in order to break the cyc!e. The only reason those nations still existed was due to the mercy of the victors.
How would that work here?
There is a point when a person ,Ives a life of sin and unrepentance that God turns that person over to their reprobate mind. When that happens there is no turning back. The person is irredeemably lost in their sin.
That is not to say that everyone that lives in sin has reached such a “no return” point, but they are in danger of it if they continue. God forbid that anyone reach such a point, but sadly some will.

Yep, people who have actually suffered under communism and/or socialism can speak of the horrors they personally experienced and the listeners will call them liars. Yeonmi Park posts often on Facebook of the atrocities she witnessed in North Korea and gets such comments. I believe that some of the comments are by North Koreans with fake accounts, but many others are useful idiots.
People can change, and do. Minds are not hardened beyond repair.
This is a good article, and a good word; “transfixed”, to describe the hardening of the leftist mind.
TRansfixion is a result of consistant indoctrination from the age of 5 or 6 onward, throughout education, the mechanism of virtue signalling like lemmings on the way to the cliffs.
The victims of transfixion, unable to acknowledge facts in theior environmenyt have a vaery low survival rate in existential crisis like storm, famine, war. This is because their delusion is too concrete, so much so that their perceptions actually cannot accurately sense what is happening or even present. THey have a perceptual mechanism trained to ignore manifest fact and happenings within the environment. Since they ignore so much in the environment, they are truly “ignorant” about whats going on around them.
And when they have cognative dissonance from their ignoring, then their only reaction is attack, and violence.
So we are in for a fight. And in the process we must destroy their ignorance mechanism.We must prove to them that their way of life, lack of tolerance, lack of freedom and liberty, will shorten their own.
And they mean to do the worse to us and are planning already, weaponizing government agencies to do the dirty, including -the FBI , EPA and the IRS., we will be sent to FEMA created re-education camps, imprisoned, or executed, just like the Red Chinese do.Jan 6 prosecutions were a rehearsal.Make no mistake about it.
