So who actually owns this land? The Osage or the Kane family?

“By thrashing Enel in court, the Osage tribe not only stands to collect millions of dollars in damages and the removal of the loathsome turbines, it also has handed Big Wind the biggest public relations debacle in its history.”

What will replace this loss of “energy”.

After trillions of dollars waste on net zero these abortions will be consigned to the scrap heap of folly and history?

I'd like to see the Cherokee and Creek tribes win their action for the nickel a ton for sand pulled out of the Arkansas River.

Osage owns the mineral rights. The company started digging and crushing limestone for the windmill bases and roads. Wind turbine people were stealing rock. Pretty straightforward.
They should have covered this in a contract or lawsuit before taking it.

I think surface is owned by the family, but mineral rights, etc are owned by the Osage. Splitting the rights happens quite a bit.

Why would they need to mine rocks in order to build a wind farm? Are they just talking about leveling the site and calling that mining?

Hopefully good old fashioned nuclear power, or coal and natural gas. I’m guessing number two. Wind and solar don’t provide that much power to begin with.

It said the Osage had purchased the land and mineral rights.

Violations of mineral rights? Half the homes in TX sits on lots where the home owner does not own the mineral rights. So they will be required to be torn down?

I’m beginning to re-think the hierarchy of victimhood now. Used to be that race was about midway down, below sexual orientation and gender. Now, they’re even changing state flags for stupid “race” reasons and now this.

Good…I hope a judge will now side with the whales and order the removal of the East Coast offshore windmills.

I don’t find the windmills objectionable as far as the view, but they are destructive and not efficient and produce a tremendous amount of waste that cannot be recycled or degraded.

I’m not interested in this planet being overcome with windmill graveyards.

Natural Gas is such a wonderful commodity. It’s endless and can be piped.
