Breaking: Leftist Argentine Court Suspends Milei’s Labor Reforms – Leftist Union Challenging the Legislation Calls for a Nationwide Strike Against New President’s Plan

As he kicks off his most meaningful administration, a combination of oversized union power with a meddling judiciary has suspended a package of labor reforms.

The three-judge court will rule on a legal challenge brought by the main union group, the General Labor Confederation (CGT), which argued that ‘the changes affected workers’ rights.’

Reuters reported:

“The ruling by the National Chamber of Labor Appeals temporarily blocks enforcement of the labor regulations in Milei’s so-called ‘mega-decree’, which includes more than 300 measures aimed at deregulating the South American country’s economy.

Labor elements of the decree include the repeal and modification of laws related to employment contracts, terms for dismissal, severance payments, and more.”

The powerful socialist CGT union has – as you would expect – opposed those measures, and is planning a nationwide strike set to kick off at the end of the month.

Watch closely how this plays out in Argentina. This is exactly what Trump will face if by some miracle he manages to beat the steal.

Picture any independent winning the US presidency. He’d have zero backing in Congress or probably the courts. While the independent might be wildly popular with the public as an outsider, the likelihood of him enacting anything and making it stick is very small. As you point out, Trump, nominally a Republican, fought every battle uphill and against the wind even with Republicans. That doesn’t mean I don’t want Trump as president. It means we shouldn’t expect miracles. The Argentine president might have fared better if he’d brought in the labor leaders and negotiated with them. He wouldn’t have gotten what he wanted, but then whatever he tried to do would probably have had a better chance of happening. Everyone gets frustrated that they never get what they want, but that’s the nature of politics. Trying something and losing badly sets the tone for everything to come.

There is only one way to stop it. With violent revolution.

Just have Milei say the court has no standing. If they want to make such decisions, get elected president.

So here’s the crux of the matter, which we also face here: who has the right to decide?

In our nominal Constitution, there were checks and balances; only the Congress was to pass laws; the judiciary didn’t make laws but determined if they were Constitutional (and not whether they thought they were fair or nice or the direction they wanted the country to go) and the executive spent the money in the budget according to the laws.

That’s gone, dusted, history. At a minimum, and there are many other examples, Congress hasn’t passed a budget since 2008. You can pick your own favorite example and time and also probably be correct.

So now it’s up for grabs, and the left isn’t shy about saying they have the final say from whatever institution they hold. Similarly here. If the socialist judge gets to say “no” that’s that. Everything Millei does from here on out will be deemed illegal.

Of course the flip side to stopping them is that the next socialist that gets in will try exactly the same thing but in reverse, which is why the only viable solution with human beings is mutual impedance and limited government.

Everything will return to that eventually, but the further off the more painful and bloody the consequences for everyone.

The courts have no miltary or law enforcement ability. Tell them to pound sand.

This is the nature of government. They’re really only interested in their own interests, not what the people voted for. He said he’d do this.

...effectively their ‘deep state’ - government employees have the power, not the elected.

“...effectively their ‘deep state’ - government employees have the power, not the elected.”

Fat, bloated bureaucrats who have no martial skills and can’t figure out which bathroom to use, have no power. It’s way past time for people to understand that.

Always remember Alinsky Rule #1: “Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have.”

It’s how these frauds bullsh*t people that they have “power.”

History shows when the commies are in control and ruining a nation, there’s only one way they release their stranglehold on power.
