Did you feel it? Small, brief earthquake. A couple movements, pause, then shaking. One cat took notice. The other slept through it.

I think the largest quake was in Missouri in 1800s.

Log cabins are hard to knock down though.

I heard the ones in Turkey last year were the hardest in recorded history...

I am in Florida and I heard there was a four-point know a couple days ago outside of Melbourne. Out to see of course, but still.

Haven’t felt one since I moved to AZ in 1996. I spent 34 yrs in SoCal before that and went through quite a few.

Log cabins are hard to knock down though.

Here from Illinois Gov. John Reynolds's autobiography:
On the night of the 15th of December, 1811, an earthquake occurred, that produced great consternation amongst the people. The centre of the violence was in New Madrid, Missouri, but the whole valley of the Mississippi was violently agitated. Our family all were sleeping in a log cabin, and my father leaped out of bed crying aloud "the Indians are on the house" ... We laughed at the mistake of my father, but soon found out it was worse than the Indians. Not one in the family knew at the time that it was an earthquake. The next morning another shock made us acquainted with it, so we decided it was an earthquake. The cattle came running home bellowing with fear, and all animals were terribly alarmed on the occasion. Our house cracked and quivered, so we were fearful it would fall to the ground. In the American Bottom many chimneys were thrown down, and the church bell in Cahokia sounded by the agitation of the building. It is said the shock of an earthquake was felt in Kaskaskia in 1804, but I did not perceive it. The shocks continued for years in Illinois, and some have experienced it this year, 1855.

One reviewer said he really wished no harm to the Victoria Principal character being menaced by the Gortner character but he sort of wished she would at least be naked or something before being rescued.

I live in a one story house. Only fear sin holes. Common in Florida.

I am really ignorant of the topic. Heard someone speculate that the enormous amounts of water on land could weaken places below and put pressure on fault lines.

GA - D - Rep Hank Johnson told me over a late night lunch, and hand holding session, that Guam was in extreme danger of flipping over due to our military facilities there.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/hank-johnson-worries-guam-could-capsize-after-marine-buildup/

Was that you in the next booth craning your neck to hear our conversation? It was a majoritively plutonic relationship, as if that was any of your business.

When I lived in Southern CA a 4.6 was enough to remind you that you were not in Kansas anymore—but not enough to cause significant damage.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yep! You sized that up good...significant enough to feel.. usually not enough to do damage.
