New York City shelters are overwhelmed with migrants.
Many of them have arrived in Texas or Florida and then taken buses to New York, where shelter and benefits are guaranteed. However, the city is scrambling as the number continues to climb and the migrants look to build a new life in America, which includes housing and work.

Agree! The coastal governors should form an alliance and do what Texas has done: national guard activated, 24/7 defense. Form auxiliary coast guards. Close beach roads at sunset and patrol with local law enforcement. Units at all marinas and harbors. Units on coastal islands. From the Carolinas to the southern coast of Texas be ready for these people!!!

I recommend the formation of local "hunting clubs", "fitness clubs", "communications clubs", "orienteering clubs" and "canning clubs". It's not a bad idea to avoid words like "militia" ... for now.
In 2013 I authored a book that covered organizing small communities for such situations as we now contemplate. I really need to publish a second edition.
