Flags at half staff... major announcement imminent... any guesses on what's going on? I believe the King may have passed.
You should be asking for proof from the OP, as to his claim for British flags being half-mast. Kate has publicly said that she will address the nation, so it wasn’t her that died.

When Liz died it didn't take this long to make the announcement. Not to mention, there isn't anything about this on any of the major media sources. It's just after 4 am in London as I write this, so if nothing is reported within the next four hours I'm going to consider this a false alarm.

Wasn’t posting it as a story... I’m not a journalist. It is curious how stories like this can take off from one internet post and then suddenly you have thousands of people believing the king may be dead, etc. I think it does probably suggest people don’t believe he is actually well (so too with the Princess of Wales). In any case, there would have been no way to verify a rumor of this sort. One thing about this site is if you bring an internet rumor here, people are curious enough to dig to the bottom of it... it also shows the things that interest people... royal family posts get more attention on this site than you’d expect.
