You know how you can tell if a public official is SERIOUS about stopping the Biden Open Border Policy? If that official actually says the word "illegal" or "illegally" when referring to the the illegal aliens who cross our open borders. One such person who does not shy for saying "illegal" is Ohio Senator J.D. Vance who used the terms "illegal" and "illegally" FORTY times in a recent one hour speech on the subject of the Biden Open Border Policy. In this video I present the highlights of Vance saying "illegal" and "illegally" in that speech. Oh, and Vance most definitely did not do an apology tour afterwards like Joe Biden did with an apology tour saying how sorry he was for saying "illegal" when referring to the accused illegal alien murderer in Georgia. By contrast whenever you hear a politician talking about the need for "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" that really means he is really for open borders plus amnesty.
Whoever President Trump picks as his VP will need to highlight the Biden Open Border Policy when running against Kamala Harris who utterly failed in the one important mission given to her as supposed Border Czar. This J.D. Vance speech proves he would be a great VP choice to take on Biden's failure of a Border Czar in this year's election because he is SERIOUS about exposing and attacking the Biden/Harris Open Border Policy.

Ohio Senator J.D. Vance has merit... So does DeSantis and many others. We are blessed with a strong bench for Trump to choose from... many of the others can join the administration in other jobs.
The key is to stop democrats from cheating and lying... not a small task.

That’s exactly what it is (illegal) except the politically correct far left keep changing the term to what is now “Newcomer”. Before that it was “Undocumented migrant” I forget what the hell it was before that, I’ve lost track. When you Google “Illegal Alien” the results all come back for “Undocumented” this or that, very few have the word “illegal”.
NO CAN DO about DeSantis. Among other reasons any presidential ticket with candidates from the same same state LOSE the electors from that state in the Electoral College. You want to LOSE all of Florida's electoral votes? Check the Constitution.

A serving State Governor would be foolish to take it, even as a favor to “the standard bearer” of his party.
I like JD... a lot. He said some unkind things about Trump in 2016 before Trump became the nominee. If he were to be VP nominee, the Dems will make him eat his 2016 words with a fork and spoon, but I suppose that a deft politician could turn that around, e.g., “Yes, it’s true that I wasn’t in love with Trump in 2016, but you know what? He turned out to be a great president 2017-21, and his policies were a home-run for this country, so I’m the first to admit that I was wrong about him in 2016.”
I think you’d be pleased on how Bernie Moreno handled the question of IVF from the press. Basically it is a made up controversy by the MSM to distract from policy discussions. Keep that up and Sherrod Brown will be retired!

And yet a MUCH HIGHER percentage of Vice Presidents went on to become President than any other public office in the land, including a serving State Governor who has only a couple years left in his term limited tenure.

I would tend to agree, but my only point was why he would be inclined to do President Trump any favors.
Making DeSantis the VP would be pointless. Florida is a lock and I can see no true reason to choose him as his VP.
Also you would LOSE the 30 Florida electoral votes that would otherwise go to Trump due to both people on the ticket from Florida. See the Constitution.
